Ah so that's what those T4 connectors are for at the speaker.
----
just to clarify to everyone what ciclo and I are talking about when it comes to organising wires.. this is the situation below my steering column.
you'll probably go like WHAT A FC-UK-ING MESS and you'd be sort of right. I've colored in the connectors to show you what it's for.
in your standard Polo 6R you'll have one big loom to an angled 41-pin connector.
For complicated reasons, I have different stalks and kessy (so no normal igniton lock) which adds a lot to the chaos below the steering wheel.
before the weekend, all the wires to the slip ring and the stalks were running through the two connectors you see on the left side.
This was sort of fine but the space below the steering wheel is limited. and I like to have a lot of connectors so debugging is a lot easier.
after some mods, the wiring was not very systematic and the wires were a bit too long, making storage difficult and it looks horrible.
I decided to better my life and the result is showing.
There are still some wires on the left side, this will go the final connector i was talking about. this will further ease the installation of the CC by mfs.

Awesome.
I'm so perplexed that I don't know what to write.
I understand perfectly all the modifications and possible variants that you have had to do, but it's difficult to assimilate these images.
You deserve a prize ... ask for it at the VW factory by showing these images.

So do we need crossover for the rear tweeters?ciclo wrote:Yes, with capacitors (filters).

Re: iichels Polo 6R 1.2TDI Rosa Line Bluemotion
In this case it's not necessary. The tweeters that I intend to install have their capacitors to filter the low and midrange frequencies. I suppose these capacitors will have the exact value so that the tweeters sound correctly.
It'll not be absolutely perfect due to the location of the tweeters - same place as iichel - and the required decibels due to its distance with respect to the original door speaker, but it's the best thing to do in a super cheap way (OEM!).
I'm not looking for a special sound or high definition for my 6R, I just want to give a bit of clarity to the sound in the back.
This type of tweeters are installed from the factory in VW models that don't have a special sound system, Golf, Scirocco, etc ... but not in our 6R.
Make a test if your 6R has 6 speakers from factory like mine. Increase the volume of your radio/navigator, and make the total balance between bringing the sound to the front (4 speakers) and after to the back (2 speakers), then you will understand what I intend to achieve.

Yes. Thank you Ciclo. I understand what you and iichel is trying to achieve here. so with factory type tweeters, there’s no need for crossover as it is built in. Cool. My 6R do have 6speakers now. I agreed it’s a good cheap mod. will see if I can get my hands on those tweeters at good price. [emoji1360]

Re: iichels Polo 6R 1.2TDI Rosa Line Bluemotion
Did some wiring...
The aim is to make it a bit easier to connect and disconnect the MFSW external equipment in case it needs some adjustment.
1st picture on the left is the 12-pin connector that I've previously mentioned as a T16 that goes into the car wiring loom
In the middle is the new module for the CC by MFS and the MFSW emulator for bluetooth.
On the right are two slip rings, 5C0 959 654 and 6RA 959 654.
You might remember my steering column being a bit strange due to the kessy. But these rings are factory in Jetta, Beetle, Up! and some other cars.
Some details of the module
Connecting scheme (remember, my car has bluetooth and BCM 7E0 Max)
all of this is mainly the masterwork of spacewalker.
Tomorrow I'll mount it all in the car and see if it works... I'm very very excited!

Good luck!
Maybe I'd correct something in that scheme ...hmm... better wait for results.

Very nice , I always like adaptors
however last time doing direct solder , no time and place for plugs

Re: iichels Polo 6R 1.2TDI Rosa Line Bluemotion
There are some small issues with getting everything to work as intended.
What is working:
- Button illumination
- Radio controls by MFSW
- Horn activation via LIN (via emulator)
New module: 3D Special Function to allow more extensive control of the MFSW module.
Input: LIN from MFSW
Output: can comfort to gateway, radio and hopefully later also to cluster and ECU

Re: iichels Polo 6R 1.2TDI Rosa Line Bluemotion
(where it says F9 Byte2 should be 3F, like the autoscan - I was doing checks-) sorry...
-----
Do you need the CCS before the ignition? Maybe it should be a +15 signal from the T41 to new module, although I do not know how the new module works.
----
How the new module can pick up the signals of the CCS Buttons through the LIN? (this is my stupid question for this week , I allow myself only one per week)
(where the diagram says Horn, it's a wire with no function, same as *2)
As you already know when I installed these buttons through the T73b/36 LIN all the CCS signals were recognized in the ECU (by using the T5/5 slot and from here to ECU), but the CCS function was restricted by problems in the brakes system (according ODIS).
The rest of the buttons worked perfectly, all of them. Also the Horn.
Maybe this will provide new ideas.

Re: iichels Polo 6R 1.2TDI Rosa Line Bluemotion
So, I've been playing around a bit with the new steering wheel.
I've connected it to LIN T73b/36, connected CC wire of steering wheel to CC wire to ECU and coded the BCM to:
3CB02FF828CB2400933906E2FFEB9FD0808673EF608D78D0B0A050032844
Coding without CC by MFSW
3CB02FF828CB2400933806E2FFEB9FD0802273EFE08D78D0A2E400030800
coded MFSW from B0FFFF to 280000
(I created this coding based on a lot of reference scans from Jetta PQ25 with CC by MFSW)
Result:
BCM recognises the buttons from the CC (ON, CNL, SET, RES) and doesn't have a separate label for + and -
ECU measuring value IDE00356 goes either 80 or 00 (00 when I/O is pressed) and the wire has about 8.6V when status is 80.
Error in ECU:
Reference from CC via stalks via BCM
Values in 01 ECU
Read values from IDE00356
Cruise control switch OFF = 00
Cruise control switch cancel = 80
Cruise control switch ON = 81
Cruise control switch ON + RES = 84

ciclo if you have any ideas on coding or wiring... let me know...

Iichel.
can u help share some information regarding the reverse camera. I’ve heard we will need the additional control unit for dynamic guidelines and some others say that’s there’re camera with built in dynamic guidelines module. N lots of them are now with ccd lens and not with original RGB connector which means we need another module to convert the yellow connector to 26pin rgb connector for rcd510 that I have.

Re: iichels Polo 6R 1.2TDI Rosa Line Bluemotion
Well, what I know is limited to the RNS510.
For the reverse camera 'high' you'll need the external module for the guidelines in correspondence with the steering angle.
Camera --- composite signal ---- module ---- sRGB --- 26 pin RNS
For the reverse camera low without module, it's Camera --- sRGB -- 26 pin RNS
For the reverse camera 'high' you'll need the external module for the guidelines in correspondence with the steering angle.

Okay. But what happen if I used RVC “High” without the module —— sRGB —— 26pin?iichel wrote:Well, what I know is limited to the RNS510.

Re: iichels Polo 6R 1.2TDI Rosa Line Bluemotion
The RVC high camera sends out a composite video signal (2 wires to 2-pin FAKRA) and the RNS needs a 4-wire input (sRGB) so that's not going to work.
