Replaced the screen of my rns510 because the digitiser was broken. To satisfy my OCD. I also replaced the on button. Never rotated wrongly again.
Some photos of the opening and screen replacement of the RNS510 --> https://imgur.com/a/ZUXDV
Made a frame for the rear seat heating buttons too.

Yes it is!
It serves as both a bracket and a spacer to mount it later on, but I'm not sure yet exactly where and how to put it

Lol. Not sure about that. By exterior looks, slam dunk 6C, for sure. By interior looks, it's a bit of a hybrid. Maybe a 6C light, but then I prefer 6R+ (like all our improved 6Rs here on the forum).
I've started work once on completely converting the electronics to MQB but that involves more work that I'd like, mainly with the engine control unit
The 1.2 TCI ECU doesn't work with MQB electronics, because it did not come with MQB equipment and it's euro 5 while MQB is mostly, if not all, euro 6 engines.

I’ve thot bout it as well! But I was thinking really on how hard to really just go for pq35 electronics if mqb is just way advanced for pq25. What u think? Pq35?iichel wrote:Lol. Not sure about that. Re: iichels Polo 6R 1.2TDI Rosa Line Bluemotion
Do you have any tips on how to remove the water deflector or parafane as you call it? I am trying to remove it on my WRC so I can access the grommet of the main wiring harness, in order to route a small hose through the firewall for my boost gauge.
I have removed the wiper arm and then tried to pull the deflector away from the glass, starting from both driver and passenger side, but it won't come off. The corner of the bonnet is also in the way which makes it annoying...
I'm afraid of using too much force, causing the glass to crack. The workshop manual states that no tools should be used, but it seems I just can't get the deflecor of just by hand

Do you mean right in the middle of the car, above the black bulkhead? I can only get my fingertips in between the black bulkhead and the plastic deflector. I'm think that if I just grab the edge of the plastic and bend it upwards, it will crack the lip holding it to the windshield (at the yellow arrow in the pic below). I was trying for a good while today, also trying to go from the sides. I was putting my hand on the underside of the deflector as close to the windshield as possible and using my fingers to push the deflector upwards as hard as I could. It is not coming off

It definitely will be hard first time. But trust me. I’ve done several time. All you need is to get ur hands or soft tools as close as possible to clip area and lift it up. You will get the feeling you re going to break the part, but it is not that easy because the material is really bendable and elastic. A bit more force will force the clip out. U will not need any tool really.cheba wrote:Do you mean right in the middle of the car, above the black bulkhead? I can only get my fingertips in between the black bulkhead and the plastic deflector. Re: iichels Polo 6R 1.2TDI Rosa Line Bluemotion
oeh yeah, another mod (almost) finished
rear heated seats...
I bought the heating pads here --> https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4pcs-lo ... 91102.html
I adhered to the OEM plan, with the exception of the connection of the pads. They are connected in parallel in my car, while OEM is in series.
In series, they were causing an error.
Some pictures, if you like: https://imgur.com/a/PIfa9
The only thing left, is to integrate the control buttons in the rear arm rest.

Great iichel.
I think you should keep your 6R/C in museum for VW and rest of world to take a look.
