Polo 6R and Audi A1 Seats
Hi
So I'm told that the A1 one uses exactly the same platform as the Polo 6r and the seats are a straight swap ?
Anyone had any experience of this ?
The Audi seats do look a lot nice and part leather.

Yes. I helped a mate put A1 S-Line front and rear seats in his Polo.
Re: Polo 6R and Audi A1 Seats
They look awesome
does the rear bench come in a 3 seat? was it plug and play? Potential project for the summer..

Set on eBay right now. Think the price is a bit steep tho. I may look into this as not a massive fan of my interior

The rear bench is the same size. Just the centre part isn't a seat. So should still be a straight swap over. The fronts should fit straight ontop the sub frames as same platform surely? Take away the badges and are they not the same car anyway?

Martins post shows the 2 seat rear bench fitted to a polo
Re: Polo 6R and Audi A1 Seats
Did you have any trouble with the airbags? Wanting some for my GTI or maybe a re-trim but don't really like the GTI seats.Mart!n-GTI-DK wrote:Yes. I helped a mate put A1 S-Line front and rear seats in his Polo.

Re: Polo 6R and Audi A1 Seats
Thread resurrection... I did the A1 seats into my son's 2010 Polo 6R recently. A couple of pointers:
The plugs for the airbags, seat belt stalks and occupancy sensor are all different. The airbag plug has the same wire colours, so I cut these off my old seats and soldered them to the new A1 seats - job done.
The driver's seat has seat belt stalk wiring only. Again, I cut the plug off the Polo seats and soldered it to the A1 seats.
The passenger seat also has an occupancy mat. The plug for the mat is combined together with the seat belt stalk on the Audi seats, but separate on the Polo seats. So again, I just cut the Polo wiring off, and soldered it to the A1 seats.
On the rear belts. The A1 only has 2 seats, the Polo 3, so I currently have a spare stalk sitting there. But I've ordered a lap belt from a Polo 9N which will be a straight fit, so I'll retain 3 rear seats.
Lastly, it's physically a straight fit, but the rear seat bases are different. The Polo seat base tilts up to fold the seats, but the A1 base is a static fitment. The fittings are different to the Polo fittings. Mine is just sitting there for now, but it seems to be holding there just fine.

Re: Polo 6R and Audi A1 Seats
There are even rear seats with three headrests and three seatbelts available for Audi A1
Re: Polo 6R and Audi A1 Seats
Have anyone connected heated A1 seats?
Polo's module is 6R0959772A and Audi's 6R0959772D, one letter diff and they look the same but I am not sure will it work.
