Can someone please clarify. With 18" wheels is it best to get an 8" wide rim with a 35-40mm offset? A lot of the online wheel companies are listing 18 x 8.5 which I think is too wide!!!

I have these wheels on my car. Its my post. They are 6.5 inch wide and 16 inch 205/50/16 if i remember correctly.

I run 7.5j et38 on 215/35/18
You might be able to get away with 8 inch, as I do have a tiny bit of space on the front. 8inch on the rear should be no problem
