Turn off "ACT" Blue GT?

Post by JONNYVELU »

Does anyone know of any ways of turning off the cylinder deactivation on the blue GT? Just got an exhaust system installed and I hate the sound of it!

You can't turn it off... You could try taking the plug off the four actuators in the valvecover. But that will turn the engine warning light on.

No it's a crutial part of the engine design. You can turn off the notification but not the actual function. The car CO2 rating is done with it being part of the engine.

Which, in the UK at least disabling that function would prevent the vehicle from passing the MoT.
