rcd310 is just your basic radio unit with fm/am/dab
rcd510 is a touch screen unit with a 6.5inch touch screen but no handsfree but can have it fitted
RNS 310/315 is a 4.5inch touch screen with maps and bluetooth built in
rns510 is a 6.5 inch touchscreen with maps but no bluetooth in it but can be fitted to it

I have the tpk bluetooth kit vw offer that i don't use, but at this time i haven't removed the microphone for it yet (it's hooked up to the ignition and cba)

I am also looking for an all in one solution for my 14 plate Polo. A lot of the head units I've seen do not have DAB radios included which is quite important for me.

Cheers Willni.

Is it a straight forward job to swap out the old unit? Would I no longer need the TPK Mount?

Alex, so you don't need any part of the tpk system with the 315 as its all internal? Also, I don't know if I have a gps antenna so will I need to fit one with it?

You'll need a GPS antenna if it doesn't come with one plus a microphone if it doesn't come with one

Couple of questions that I have before I take the plunge:

1) Will my existing DAB aerial (for RCD 310) work with the new RS 315?

2) Will the installed mic for the TPK kit (seems to be tucked behind the tim of the driver's side A-pillar) work with the new unit?

Thanks

Here's the link for the microphone (it will sit hidden in at the dome lights)

And here's the sat nav antenna (if it's magnetic just sit it onto the back of the unit and it will work, that's what I did)
