Let me explain you:
These are the Static Cornering Lights (SCLs) on your new bi-xenon headlights.
Thanks to the G85 sensor included in the steering ring of your 6R and which is part of the ABS system, when you move the steering wheel to one of the sides and exceed a certain steering angle, the indicated bulb in image above lights up, ... up to a speed of 40 km/h.

In the 6R the SCLs function is managed by the BCM. (not by AFS system/unit)
You must enter this new BCM coding to know if you have made a good electrical installation for your new bixenon headlights and if these bulbs for SCLs work.

We clearly understand your precarious situation for the diagnostic tool, and as you say, it is better that you have your own diagnostic tool. I recommend VCDS.

On the other hand:
You still have to install the RLS and wiring viewtopic.php?p=572056#p572056 for your automatic lights to work, then we have to re-code your BCM.
Note:
In the wiring installation guide for automatic lights you have the way to enter all the BCM coding in one go - copy and paste -. (VCDS)

Got it, understood perfectly. Thanks! I wasn't sure what your acronym "SCL" meant, but now I know. I was aware of what the cornering lights do, but I actually didn't test them to see if they work yet. I'll get on that coding fix as soon as I can.

Take it easy, ... exactly as you told me by email, slowly but surely.
