There seems to be a calculator (I no have), the calculations I did for the coding to ABS unit (6R) from habib_123 are based on data collection from other Polo 6R, and they have no scientific basis [img]http://czestochowaforum.pl/images/smiles/caveman.gif[/img] (as has been seen in this thread).

I can only calculate Bytes that they matching with the VIN. I would like to say how this part is done, but this is not convenient for security reasons and data protection (thinking on respect for others who do not want to publish the VIN). Otherwise, I already would have said.

just like my R-line ... I remember that some time ago also tried to modify some of those bytes without success.

Your coding (NEtech) is correct (VIN, etc), but others Polo 6R with those front discs (288mm) have the coding 48/12 from factory.
It is difficult to recommend something else with the info available.

I would like to understand what effects has a coding specific for 288mm front brakes.
Will brakes be stronger? Will the brake power be redistributed better between fron and rear calipers?
Will the ABS kick in earlier or later?

Hi everybody,
is there someone on here who is able to calculate the right coding for ABS/ESP Bosch 8.2i depending on the brake size?

When I press hard the brake pedal, the ABS kicks -in too early in my opinion.
I believe it has to do with redistribution of brake pressure between front and rear calipers.
I have this problem since I upgraded the front brakes from ATE FS-III 256mm to Lucas 288mm and the problem remained even now that I installed the ATE FN3 288mm front calipers.
