New Wheels for my GTI

Sold the VW Rotary alloys last week that I had on my previous car (mk6 Golf GTD), so reinvested the sale proceeds in a new set of wheels for my GTI.



These are 17" VW Motorsport alloys in anthracite, and I'm really pleased with them. They'll be going on the car, once I've sorted out some tyres, and I'll be storing my diamond cut alloys, which will go back on the car when I eventually sell it in a few years time.

Now to go and research tyre choices..................

Big fan of those wheels from playing around with the VW Germany 'konfigurator' on their website.

Got tyres fitted to my new VW Motorsport wheels today (Conti Sport Contact 3) and got the wheels on the car. I'm not a great fan of diamond cut alloys, so was pleased to get my Serrons off the car into wheel storage bags and on my wheel storage tree, where they'll stay until I sell the car, when I'll put them back on the car. Really pleased with the Motorsports now they're on the car, which keeps it looking OEM but a bit different to other GTI's;

The dealer I bought mine from told me the 17" Motorsport wheels are no longer produced in anthracite. So unless there's existing stock within the VW network, or someone has a set they want to sell, you may need to settle for gloss black.
