2013 Polo R Line Bluetooth connectivity issues

Hi all, forgive me if this post is in the wrong section I'm new to this forum. I got my 2013 Polo R Line a couple of days ago and have a quick question I hope one of you guys can answer. I've managed to connect my iPhone 6 to the cars Bluetooth (it has the little hands free device thing) and after some messing about I've managed to be able to play music via Bluetooth to the cars speaker, however it sounds like it's coming from a separate secondary speaker system (I think potentially a completely separate system which is used for hands free calls?), not the normal ones where the music plays from when playing via radio etc. The car was owned by my sister previously and I can confirm is full factory standard.
So my question is, does anyone know how to play my music via Bluetooth through the main speakers, if possible?

It's very easy to make it functional, but you need to run a lead from the box at the back of the radio to the aux socket, all explained here. viewtopic.php?f=56&t=67156
