thank you ciclo. i will give a try. but just to be sure, do you think these new wrm models have different effects if i just maintain the rear wrm coding? or these rear wrms need new coding as well? I can see your rear wrms still using the old coding.

ok. just to update. its not working for the rear windows control. I would like to believe that these things (front wrm) work in pair. linbus is so complicated with master and slave modules. That said, i think i cant order them separately from separate seller. or else theres a risk its not working.

It is highly probable  that the problem is in the RLS software.
It seems that this function is only possible with the latest RLS models (5K7... ... B, C) or RLHS.

Yes. I’m expecting the RLS too. Its ok. will see if i can get the parts for HBA and upgrade the RLS later. 🤣 Its a journey[emoji12]. a very long one. lol. I’m not sure if i ever tell this before: but the first reason i tried retrofit the RLS is for that Rain Closing function. Hahahaahha. After a long list of items, still not getting there. Oh my.

Up coming next. I’ve just finished install the inverter module in my trunk and laid the 2.5mm2 (power) and 0.5mm2 (alternator signal) wires to the fusebox area.

Image

Next is to install this 6mm2 from the battery to the fusebox. As it is hard to source the specific Tesa Cloth tape for engine compartment, I decided to use the convoluted tube for the wire protection.

Image

I might have to make a joint for the 6mm2 wire somewhere in the middle between battery and fusebox, I’m not sure i’ve confidence joining the thick wire using twist-method and heat-shrink insulation. Looking for help and ideas for that, anybody?

In such a wire I'd suggest to avoid a joint if possible.
I think it should be possible to run the wire in its whole, just make the hole in the rubber a bit larger and close it properly.

I would always prefer that. but i cant get the right terminal SPT for 6mm2. Even if i can source one, i dont have tool to crimp that for sure. so the plan is to take the 6mm2 wire from the golf fusebox that i have which already has the pin terminal on it. so at the moment, thats the best way for me. But thats why i’m asking if that is a good solution and workable or I better still have to source for new pin terminal to avoid the joint?

I'd probably suggest to splice the wire then in to the required amount of SPT plugs. And make the splice in the dry area, so in the interior. If you can find a butt terminal that allows 6mm2, I'd go for that. otherwise maybe soldering, but that's a last resort. Such a thick wire, when soldered, will become very stiff. Always protect it with i.e. heat shrink.

Yes. the joint will be surely inside the cabin near the fusebox area. I will try to find the butt terminal for that. Thanks alot iichel!

Today I got time to work around the airbag control module area so i decided to test wired the airbag off keyswitch and warning light dash module. and then simply using vcds, go to adaptation channel to adapt the keyswitch installation as the current status is: not parameterized. after change that channel, i got at least 3 airbag errors. But interestingly if i put the switch to OFF, the warning light did light up.

so i guess with that adaptation channel, its no point unless we change the new uncoded airbag module.
