Re: Benzinkopf's 2012 VW POLO 6R MK5 1.2TSI 105HP DSG
so one friend asked me to help him with the wiring. and because my HBA/IC CAN lines still all over the place, so i decided to test in the polo. (well, again with the help from Ciclo’s diagram from one of the old post!! )
thanks UK POLO and Ciclo[emoji7]

Recently I discovered (due to the updating of -erWin- diagrams) that since the end of 2012 (approximately October) the 6Rs (MY D/E, 2013/14) that left the factory with BCM Max (7H0937090 x -> Bixenon, Bluemotion) have the instrument cluster communication lines connected to pins 54 and 57 of white connector of these BCM Max.
I think they are important data for those owners of 6R Europe who want to make this type of modification ... and other mods.
'The 6R and its amalgam/variety of nonsenses' ... recognized by VW for the fact of producing the 6C "the best FL ever" ... an identical car with a different platform. what the ....
I wish VW the best of luck with the sale of the AW1 Polo, a stupidly expensive car, ... at least here, in this part of "Europe".
---
Ah yes, the same luck for the Golf Mk8 ...

AW polo never make it here at all! but for sure if its stupidly expensive over there, then its understandable why they never bring it here. lol.
golf mk8?.... hurm. not interesting front end and personally, i really disappointed with the interior design, especially the centre console/gear knob part. from photo alone can see the ‘cheap’ design. [emoji23]
PS: bad news. i broke my windscreen[emoji2361].

I imagine that in the near future the DSG shift lever will be a pair of touch buttons integrated into the infotainment system.
... you know, people today know all the tricks and Apps of their smartphone but there are already many who do not know how to dial a phone number with a rotary dial phone ... (it has been proven )

Good luck with the windshield installation.

Btw guys, the original coding in 20-High Beam Assist is set for 04 (LED) Headlight. I saw some forums say it should be 02 for Bixenon. Should I consider changing it? @ciclo @CNK @iichel

Perfect!
I recommend that you make an adjustment of the range of the light patterns with an electronic regloscope.
That in other forums they recommend that the codification be for Bixenon headlights and because it is what VCDS describes on the label (for the VW T6) does not mean that for the 6R it is better.
Leave the coding for LED headlights. ... IMHO ...

Ok. thanks Ciclo. btw, yes. i did set the light pattern to be that low so i can be on the safe side. not until i settle the AFS units with the correct coding.

obviously yours is LED? right. but to think it again, High Beam is just a shutter in bixenon. So i dont think make any diff also with the coding there. right?

The mirror camera has to know what type of headlights are installed to make its comparative calculations between the source of light emitted and received.
Remember that the 6R bixenon headlights are not perfect , and that they are lose faculties over the years.
