In the meantime, here's the update on the BCM Max and Auto Lighting installation and testing. I've edited the first post with the latest autoscan which is now superb with all the controllers accessible (in customized autoscan as per suggested by UWE from ross-tech forum) :
http://forums.ross-tech.com/showthread. ... le&p=81850

The latest autoscan from the first page:

Happily, I've been testing and test driving around alot to really test the system. I would say everything works perfect and what more when the wiring looms, diagrams, installation guide and support came in from the best of best: CICLO!!!

Unfortunately, i didnt have a good camera to really record the performance of auto lighting system at night. As far as i can tell, the RLS will start to detect the different between dark/daylight within just 2 seconds! that's i believe the same time you take when you re just thinking that you should switch ON the light. So its superb!

With the new BCM MAX and AUTO lighting as well as all others sub-features like CH/LH, Rain Light Features, it is indeed very convenience when you are travelling a lot around with tunnels, moving into inside parkings below the buildings etc.

Now, I'm still testing some bytes and bits for rain closing to work properly. Right now, the rain closing only works when the car is unlock and even with that, it seems to not have some sort of consistency and after more than 15mins, it doesnt work. I would like to believe that this is due to the unknown coding for the system to work permanently. Interestingly. it does work (while unlock) with the AUTO light switch OFF and wiper stalk OFF.

Just to share: If i changed both the bits below:
Byte 0, Bit 1 = Change to 1
Byte 0, Bit 2 = Change to 0

I lost my remote function. Then i changed back Byte 0 Bit 2 to 1, so its working again. but still Rain closing didnt work

Just food for thought...
I dissembled the side mirror from jetta model with blind spot detection led.

These are the two images related:
ImageImage

So i believe it should be possible to make the cut-out and mask the indicator as per original and put the led behind it, but it seems impossible without cutting the heating element since the original part has specific heating element layout. [emoji848]

...and the backlit for Hazard Light button worked by default. I guess it's default in the T6 anyway.

And yes, i can agree with Ciclo! Its a little touch that makes a different! I like it. With this, feel like I'm entering into the car knowing the car is "switch-ON" and ready for next action from the driver!

30 minutes? With five it would have to be enough.

 Also, makes it easier to locate it just when it is most needed, eg. sunset/sunrise times, or when you temporarily/suddenly drive in poor light areas.

Hi everybody.
Need a little help of understanding with my factory foglights with static cornering light and the existing headlight wirings.

1. as of now, my foglights are ONLY connected to the BCM T73b/9 and T73b/10. so for me to install the BIXENON headlight with static cornering light function (In headlight), I need to reroute these two wires to PIN14 headlights and ADDITIONALLY put new wires + fuse for my foglights directly from Light Switch?

2. currently, i believe my side lights/parking (T10/10) are connected to T73a/41 and T73a/40. While the parking function for bixenon headlights are connected to T73b/5 and T73b/6. Any differences with these two connection? I shall rewire to T73b/5 and /6 and left T73a/41-40 empty?

1: correct!
2: the front and rear parking lights are interconnected. leave the pins in, so the tail lights still work ;-)

Thanks iichell. Btw on no. 2.
Do you mean the system will still works with front side lights connected to 2 new bcm pins and the rear will use the existing pin 40/41? In that case, the new pins are just due to lower consumption of the leds right?

the first part is correct.

the second part:
The LEDs need to be active as DRL and as parking lights.
So they need a power wire and a PWM wire. the PWM wire tells the LED to dim or the be full brightness.
