Polo 6R 2016 Mod.

Post by rdasadia »

@ciclo

Here is the scan report & the images you ask.
Currently I have Bi-Xenon lights (Chinese buy) with no AFS. Would like to eventually install the new LED lights with AFS & HBA.

1) For above require harness and part nos. to buy.
2) After I installed max BCM and TPMS High , the TPMS works fine and I do get all the pressures from four tire on my cluster but if you see the scan there are errors in CAN & TPMS. Really Confused that if the module is unreachable then how do I see all tire pressures on my cluster.
3) Also for some reason my reversing light has stopped working

The information provided is perfect. Thank you very much. 8)

As I predicted  , your RDK system (High) does not work properly because the control unit is not suitable for the whole system.

It works correctly through the communication lines of the instrument cluster but is not compatible with the Gateway's communication network. (Autoscan)

We still do not know if the control unit coming from the NEW Amarok 2018 will work correctly on our 6R/T5.2/T6, etc... There is a high possibility that it works correctly, as long as it does not conflict with the ABS unit. I guess that firegrafik  will be the first to confirm this.

The other faults displayed on the Autoscan and the reverse gear malfunction are normal due to the BCM exchange without the proper electrical installation.
Easily solvable with the suitable wires. These new wires will also serve to manage all the functions of the lights that are possible with your new BCM 7E0937090B ... and also they'll serve for the discoveries we have been making these years.

I'm going to make your wiring ... but before:

Are you absolutely sure you want to install the HBA system? (New stalks, new mirror with camera, etc ...)
Do you already know where to buy all the necessary parts?

This is not entirely correct.Image ..

There is new info ...

Connect your RDKS unit to the CAN lines of powertrain and tell us the results.

Please can you explain me these two wires? (below) and show me the link from where you learned these modifications.

It is important. Surely you will not need them when you install my wiring. Thanks.

On the other hand, it is advisable to leave the codings as they were if you try to encode some function in some unit and it is not achieved.

Hi. Thanks for reply. On second consideration HBA will make me sweat a lot so i guess I would not like to install that function.

Ok so the same thing happened with the OPS module also. I had first connected it to the extendes CAN & threw a lot of errors including ABS error.
Hence connected it to powertrain line and started working fine. You think thats the similar case with the TPMS module too? This TPMS module belongs to Passat B7 so was concerned if it will work on the powertrain line. However let me try what you suggested.

Ok. What will be the possible outcome with the new coding in RLS?

For the MFSW should i remove the air bag and take pictures of the wiring?

So the yellow wire is for roof light. My roof light has ambient light in it. And the Grey one is for the DRL in my front lights.

Hence connected it to powertrain line and started working fine. You think thats the similar case with the TPMS module too? This TPMS module belongs to Passat B7 so was concerned if it will work on the powertrain line. However let me try what you suggested.
'Someone' (not me) has already tested it and says that it works perfectly with the CAN lines of powertrain. Without VCDS faults. (The same unit as yours)

In any case you are in need of trying because through the CAN lines of instrument cluster will not improve in any way.

Ok. What will be the possible outcome with the new coding in RLS? Read red again. It is not related to the RLS (this works correctly on your 6R), the problem is with your MFSW ... (things that are learned with the experience :| )

For the MFSW should i remove the air bag and take pictures of the wiring?

So the yellow wire is for roof light. My roof light has ambient light in it. And the Grey one is for the DRL in my front lights.
You do not need to remove the steering wheel / airbag at the moment, do you have a link from where you bought it? Or some kind of information.

The yellow wire is on the correct place, but the splice is ...
There are very cheap Butt Terminals to make these types of splices in case you do not have the appropriate contact terminals and tools.

Permanent DRLs? Not is the right way.
The gray wire will have to disappear from that place. With the new installation you will have to make a right installation for your DRLs. OEM. With BCM control. (mandatory if you want DRLs)

There are no suggestions because it is not possible.... impossible there is nothing, but I do not think you want to make a big mod to your 6R ... engine, ABS unit, etc, etc...
A new car is better option.

Hi GM. I have PM you more details abt the MFSW and as for the new coding for sub section4 RLS the new coding is getting accepted but when I read the module again the coding stays the same as before.
