What callipers, carriers and backing plates etc did you use?

I wonder if MK4 Golf R32 rear calipers would fit?
I was looking at the Brembo website and for some reason it doesn't list 310/312 being availabale in the Max style discs. But there is a Brembo Max disc in 310/312 here:
https://www.autodoc.co.uk/brembo/1657273 which has the same stud pattern, same thickness, same height, same centre hole-in fact everything looks the same, so why isn't it listed for the 6R/6C GTI/WRC Polo?

The brembo disc has an 8N0 part number reference, meaning it's the old Audi TT.
Should be OK.
The rear calipers of a Mk4 R32 will fit, yes, but the caliper carriers won't. You need FWD rear callipers, 4WD will not work.

Say if I was to use larger front Brembo callipers with 323 or 334 discs, would there be any VAG backing plates that would fit? Would the backing plates from the VAG cars that have the 323 or 334 discs fit? Or could they be quite different?

Yes, that was one of the possibles, also the Mk1 Seat Leon Cupra R and Mk 4 Golf R32.
When people have upgraded to larger brakes, they hardly ever seem to mention the backing plates.
After looking into it more it seems the backing plates for the 323 and 334 are actually the same, so there must be more space around the 323 ones. Sadly I don't think they will fit as the Polo ones are a completely different shape and with the bolt fixing holes in different places. Of course you can run them without backing plates, but they are meant to protect the calliper parts from debris from the pads and road etc which should make them last longer. So it looks like if I want to use backing plates I'll have to use the 312 discs and chose callipers that will fit that size discs.

This one works only with 256 mm
This one is the one you need for 288mm ( 310, 312 mm etc.)

It seems that some cars with 256 discs share same caliber (1K0615124) as the ones with 288 discs?
If so then when upgrading from 256 to 288 only thing that needs to be replaced is the caliber carrier and discs? Am I getting it right?
Edit: Will be ok if situation is as mentioned above. Wheel bearing housing needs to be the one with removable caliber carrier. My Polo has the one with fixed caliber carrier so I need to also change the whole wheel bearing housing setup.
I will do all that but not just because of the brakes, car has done +200k km and has many parts that are still from the factory there. Good idea to refresh the front of the car. Time to hoard some parts and then take the car to shop to get updated.
