Re: Introducing my Lightning McQueen LM95
Here are two (not so clear) photo of the back of my existing/working/attached steering wheel.
There are two small dimples/holes which may need to be punctured as a first step to change/remove steering wheel.

Re: Introducing my Lightning McQueen LM95
SOS
Today, I connected vcds and was checking the multiple options.
I have procured a key from Russia exact same make and model ie 5K0 837 202AD
I had already got it cut from locksmith.
I was trying to see if I can program it.
So I inserted the key in ignition and turned on ignition. Did not start the engine.
And now I am getting tons of error messages.
Engine is not starting as well with old keys.
Also waited 10+ minutes and tried "Clear all DTCs" but no success.

Re: Introducing my Lightning McQueen LM95
When unlock button is pressed on flip key, horn is heard.
But nothing happens when I press lock button on it.
Ignition is successful but crank does not work.
It is nearly 45 min since engine is not turning on.

Re: Introducing my Lightning McQueen LM95
update after 2.5 hours after initial problem.
Now the car ignition is also not turning on like before. Lights come on and go off.
can here sound like 'kut" "kut" from engine bonnet. (it is battery load from what ever my knowledge is)
so it seems battery has totally drained.
I had neither put on music/radio and fan/ac ON during this period.
I must have kept ignition on with driver and passenger door open for around 1 hour odd ie when i was checking VCDS options.
Only thing different was -- this new/un programmed key being in ignition when this started to happen for around 10 odd minutes.
Please correct me here -- if it could start draining battery?
Here are two Fault Codes:

Re: Introducing my Lightning McQueen LM95
Your battery is 10.1V which is VERY low. It could in fact damage the battery. Charge it with external loader or get a jump start (last resort).
I am thinking that maybe you drained the battery in the 2.5 hours when it was on ignition.

Re: Introducing my Lightning McQueen LM95
apologies for delayed reply/update here.
After charging battery, all is normal.
Lesson learnt.
If you are going to use VCDS or any other diagnostic tool for longer durartion -- just keep engine running. Dont just turn ignition on.

Re: Introducing my Lightning McQueen LM95
experts --- here is next set of question/queries:
Here are screenshots of my CAN Gateway Installation List:
Here is how VCDS shows:
When I tried to connect to one of not installed module (46 Central Conv) i got this:
So my questions here is:
Can i check/enable some more or all modules from CAN Installation List?
Would it be safe to check/enable them?
Would one need to connect wire/wires from instrument cluster to BCM and/or respective sensor to BCM ? and/or anything more?
Would then I get detail information through VCDS?

Re: Introducing my Lightning McQueen LM95
A module needs to be physically (and by exception virtually) present in your car. The installed (and thus available) modules are shown in the first screen.
