I just happened to run an auto scan of my wife's Polo which is not indicating any issues and is at 21211 miles and found a couple of logged faults, both in the Central Electronics module (J519)
(1) 197128 Locking Module for Central Locking Driver Side Rear fault frequency 1 mileage 14,235km 25/11/2016 10:08:31 - that looks plausible but a "one off"
(2) 267032 Alarm Horn / Siren for Anti-Theft System fault frequency 1 mileage 1048,574km 00/00/2000 00:00:00 - that one looks like garbage!
So once again not all logged faults are true faults, I'd think that this is down to VW Group employing a much less than perfect or fit for purpose FLDS (Fault Locating and Diagnosing System) - cowboys to the end?
