Polo 6C Rain Light Sensor DIY Help
Hello gents!
I'm new to this ... basically the only retrofits I ever did were plug and play. So ... I guess it's time for a DIY. So, basically, my car did not come with Rain - Light sensor, hence no Auto headlights switching, therefore I went on and bought the following kit from here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/OEM-Gol ... 271.Q1iBX4
I have also bought a HEX-V2 ( enthusiast edition ) from Ross-Tech ( have a 3rd party one, while this one arrives ) in the event of any coding needed.
My windshield fits the sensor just fine, and the physical installation of the mirror / cabling is no biggie .. as I'm a handy guy.
Problem is .. where do the cables fit in exactly ... please let me know what info / pictures are needed from me ?
I have a BCM 6C0 937 089 and my VIN is WVWZZZ6RZFY146XXX, if you need an autoscan, I've put one here https://pastebin.com/HN6Vk5Be]here.
** Eventually, I would really enjoy having Coming / Leaving Home ( which as far as I know require the light sensor ). Does that imply additional parts like a CH/LH module or is it pure coding ?
Thanks! Please advise!

Re: Polo 6C Rain Light Sensor DIY Help
So, this is the wiring scheme:
Run a wire from the fuse box, fuse 53 to the connector of the RLS, pin 1
Run a wire to the ground (i.e. at the interior light) from the RLS, pin 2
Pin 3 of the RLS is connected to the LIN bus.
I don't know the part number of the connector for sure, but it's probably 1C0973119B
The connectors are the micro quadlock system.
For connecting LIN bus:
Places to find this yellow/pink wire:
Anti theft interior sensor in the roof liner
Anti theft horn in the engine bay
BCM connector C, pin 15
I don't have any pictures, but if you proceed, i think it would be good if you make and share pictures with the forums.

Re: Polo 6C Rain Light Sensor DIY Help
Perfect! Thanks iichel for the great info! I will post results and photos with the steps taken as soon as the kit arrives.
I'm not sure I will be able to follow the instructions without any further help, but I'll surely post pics.
I feel like there's people out there with 6C versions of the Polo that are a bit left out in the blue with the lack of tools and kits for us feels bad, so hopefully my try here will help others as well

Re: Polo 6C Rain Light Sensor DIY Help
hi guys, I from turkey
My name is Fatih, my car is 2016 seat ibiza, same as polo 6c, I added a rain light sensor to my car, but bcm does not appear in the subsystem, long coding byte6 0A, byte7 FB, byte13 27 encoded, for bcm 6C0 937 089D, cable connection as follows;
sensor connector 1 pin sc53 fuse, Pin 2 on the ground to roof lighting, 3 pin on the bcm T73C/15 lin bus
I tried many different encodings, but I couldn't activate the sensor, Could this bcm rain light sensor not support?
The sensor is 5Q0 955 547A.
this sensor is working in another car using the same bcm
bcm in the subsystem when the sensor is inserted into the car and long coding
