Hi Francesco, Happy New Year 2020!

The problem is that there is no power to the wires T73a/63 and T73b/68 that reach your BCM Max (I imagine that power it's supplied from SB39 and SB59 fuses, i say tha I 'imagine' because I did not manufacture your wiring, but you followed the installation guide).

Do you remember how you made the electric bridge on the J331 relay? Check it out too.

Thank you Fernando! I've checked immediately the bridge as you told me and I found the problem

Cannot explay what happened but I can only suppose there was something wrong with the bridge I used.

I admit I made It by myself using a 1mm thick aluminium sheet, not the best choice for this kind of work probably even If worked fine for months.

I replaced the melted relay's holder with a new one and soldered the 2 wires together to avoid further problems.

Thank goodness nothing worst happened.

Thank you mate  I feel very stupid and lucky at this time

The images clarify the facts. (thank you for the images)

Maybe the bridge you made is not the problem, maybe there are too many consumers connected to the power wire (+30) that receives the power from the electric bridge. This wire branches on two wires to the fuses SB39 and SB59 and then feeds the BCM (63a, 68b).

If there is another electrical consumer connected to this wire that is subsequently divided into two wires to the fuses, you must desconected it and take the power for that consumer from another point of the electrical installation (e.g. directly from the battery with new wires)

However, the fact that the original wires have not been damaged by excess temperature suggests that the electrical bridge you made is not of the right materials to evacuate the temperature or was incorrectly placed on the terminals of the relay holder.

I'm inclined to the idea that the materials from which the electric bridge has been made/built are not adequate for electrical installations. :?:
It is good to know that the problem has been solved without other consequences.

This is also my idea. I think probably a bad contact between bridge and terminals (maybe because of the oxidation) could lead to an overhead of the brige.

Since that happened immediately after turning on the car lights with no extra power consumption I feel you exclude the other option.

 the important thing is that everything fine
Thank you ciclo!

Hi guys, I want to share with you my last project.
Since my comfortline has no tweeters in front pilars I purchased a pair of them from Hertz and 3d printed the brackets to use the original fixing points. I'm really satisfied of the result because it looks very similar to the original one.

More updates coming soon!

Thank you guys.

Today need to add a new wire in the fusebox for the heated washers jets.

I saw there's a locking mechanism but I do not want to risk to break something.
Do you know how to unlock it? Thanks in advance!

Use a flat screwdriver to move the locking mechanism as you see in the image.
Sometimes it's a little hard the first time ... nothing will break.

Thank you ciclo I did It successfully!
Do they need to be coded with VCDS?
Any way to check if they works?

Here's some pictures. This time I tried to use 3D printed connectors and they works nice!

I've also completed the mirrors mod with k418 unit and works nice!

Nice mods.
The heated washer jets are automatic, they don't need coding (they are not connected to any codifcable element🤗). You can verify how the resistance varies with a multimeter, they are sensitive to the heat of the hands and the refrigerator in your home.❄😅

Thank you Michael! Thank you ciclo for the explanation! I'm very happy with the last retrofit!
Unfortunatelly the situation is not quite good here in Italy because as you know we are all forced to stay at home to pervent new contagious but I'm try to keep my mind busy.
Finally climatronic retrofit on my 6R had been completed! A huge thanks to Michael and CNK for that! Here are some pictures which summarize the work:

Climatronic unit used comes from a 2015 Polo 6C.

Image

The new wiring; I added one connector in order to make it plug and play with the old wiring.

Starting point:

Disassembling:

Image

Interiors almost disassembled:

Image

New 9 pin connector next to the manual control panel will plug and play to the 9 pin connector of the new wiring.

Image

Image

New 2 pin connector next to manual climate unit..

Image

.. will plug and play with the 2 pin connector of new wiring.

Testing and reassembling:

Now everything seems work fine and I am happy with it. The new fa was a bit noisy at low speed at the beginning but now Its noise decreased.
I performed an autoscan and there are no errors. That's a bit strange because I did not code anything:

As far as you know have I to code It?
Thanks

Sometimes it can be necessary to code the engine ECU for climatronic, I had to with my 1.2 TDI with start/stop.
