sorry for the late reply but I was waiting to get some news to update the thread.
No problem ciclo, please take all time you need.Ok, please, be patient, now I'm with other projects.
Anyway I spotted an offer and purchased CBI because they look the best compromise - as you said - and I am waiting for the shipment; I just want to have all lamps ready when I'll mount the bi-xenon headlights.
Ciclo I tried all the possile ways you explained me to get an autoscan of the engine and I finally had success with the last one (after few tries) so thank you so much for that! There are three ways to make an Auto scan:
- Auto detect (CAN only)
- selecting chassis
- customized

And finally guys I am preparing for some major painting work I got used rear r-line bumper and side skirts but their color is wrong and they have some scratches to repair.
After some meditation I decided to handle it by myself to save some moneys (and have some fun ) so I got some products from paint factory which supplies body shops.
I will update you in the next week with the progress of these works including the retrofitting of bi-xenon headlights and front PDC.
In the meantime the precious AFS sensor bracket is arrived (20 € ) and I am waiting to receive the skoda's parking sensor hole cutter suggested by ciclo in his thread (pictures and infos below).
I think the hardest thing of this job is to find an expert of my ECUs model (VW gpl cars are not so common here) but anyway I will try to dedicate on It as soon as I'll finish the looooong list of works I've already planned, thanks mate! You will have to speak with experts in Magneti Marelli ECUs to tell you which tool can read and write your ECU, and most importantly, which is the Byte that must be modified to show the Gra_high in your MFD+.
There must be other VW models with similar ECUs (same family) that already have Gra_High activated so that experts with their wonderful tools (2000-15000€) can tell you the exact Byte (in case it is possible for your ECU).
