Re: Dashboard swap! Seat Toledo Instrument Cluster on Cross Polo 6R
what if you change your ABS coding to 210228E3227300BA842C14E844D600401100
byte 16 bit 1 sets the indirect TPMS
byte 16 bit 1 sets the indirect TPMS

Re: Dashboard swap! Seat Toledo Instrument Cluster on Cross Polo 6R
In my case, the sporadic fault remains, even by disabling the indirect TPMS in ABS unit adaptation channels and removing the TPMS switch from the glove box.
IMHO I would not take any corrective action for this sporadic fault, it may cause communication errors for the indirect TPMS. I think it is better to have the two TPM systems in good working order with this sporadic fault.

Re: Dashboard swap! Seat Toledo Instrument Cluster on Cross Polo 6R
This is what I tried first!
ABS - Byte 16, disabled Bit 1 and Dashboard - Byte 2, disabled Bit 0
But there's no difference, this fault appears every time i turn ON ignition
probably I'll have to live with this fault!ciclo wrote: ↑Tue May 22, 2018 5:15 am In my case, the sporadic fault remains, even by disabling the indirect TPMS in ABS unit adaptation channels and removing the TPMS switch from the glove box.

hi, i from China with a Fabia II, retrofitted with MFI cluster which i think is simillar to the 6R.MaDwArLoCk wrote: ↑Tue Apr 03, 2018 5:38 pm My IC was updated!
And Direct TPMS now working!
But after update I got “backlight bug”
Backlight starts flashing... (probably because of light sensor)
To fix this bug it’s necessary simply deactivate NeedleSweep
However for me this is temporary solution, because I like NeedleSweep I am trying to find the problem in the eeprom.
I made eeprom dump before and right after updating.
So now I am busy with comparing... without success for now
Also I have noticed that after updating in the adaptation channels, Cruise control display become “Not available”.
And I have found Byte that activates this channel!
Adress 0x02D9 we need to change 01 to 81
i tried to enabled the gear shift display on it, but don't know how to do it.
could you please give some suggestions about it?
Best Regards.

that info is send from ECU,.
if Your ECU is not "bluemotion" , is not broadcasting this message
Re: Dashboard swap! Seat Toledo Instrument Cluster on Cross Polo 6R
yes, it's not "bluemotion".spacewalker wrote: ↑Thu Jun 07, 2018 12:30 pmthat info is send from ECU,.

is it possible that do some modification in eeprom or something else to enable the ECU to send the info?

Hi blue_ming,
spacewalker is mainly right!
Gear shift recommendations is coming from ECU not from IC.
However it not depends Bluemotion you have or not...
My Polo is without Bluemotion and Gear shift recommendations are working from stock!
Sorry but I can’t help you with that (I don’t know much about ECU software)
But if you want to make some experiments with your IC, I can send you eeprom from Fabia IC with working Gear Shift recommendations!

thanks for your reply.spacewalker wrote: ↑Fri Jun 08, 2018 6:52 amof course, but in ECU
you can compare BMT ECu with your current and start copy / paste memory
but i can't find any BMT of Fabia II in china.

i think the Shift Display is OK for me, but i also want the eeprom to do some research.
i'll send my mail address later via pm, if i have the rights to do.

Re: Dashboard swap! Seat Toledo Instrument Cluster on Cross Polo 6R
Hi guys!
NEW MOD: Heated MFSW
To make the heating possible we need to modernize slip-ring!
I have bought two slip-rings: one from PQ25 and one from MQB
We need to move those two flex cables to the PQ25 slip-ring
But the problem is that MQB flex cables are a bit wider and will not fit to PQ slip ring
So i've carefully cut them
Next step is to mount flex-cable contacts to this plastic part (with help of scalpel and a soldering iron)
Almost ready
This is how looks like PQ25 slip-ring for heated MFSW
Also i decided to change mfsw illumination color from white - MQB to red - PQ
And added heating indication
Ready for installation!
I have used 1mm2 wires for heating.
"Minus" - i took from steering column and "Plus" connected to driver seat heating through 10A fuse.
So steering wheel haeting turns on when i press button for drivers seat heating
And the result
All buttons are working except Cruise control buttons!
Heating is ON
Ready for winter

I have one question when you cut that flex cable does it reduces number of wires ?
Did u need to change led to change backlight of buttons on steering?
