I’m not sure re the LH function but the CH works when it’s dark and you unlock the van.

The auto fold on lock doesn’t work by default on the PQ platform so I’m lead to believe. There is an Audi relay you can fit or buy a kit from TravelinLite which allows it to work.

I’ve been reading this topic with great interest and the vast knowledge base with members.

Apologies but again another non polo related question about my T5.1 caravelle 2015.

I have been trying to get 2 questions answered and checked may other forums but to no avail.

I’m hoping Someone May have the knowledge here

1 - I’m looking to get the folding mirrors to work on locking and unlocking the vehicle but cannot find anything for the door modules J386 / J387 coding

2 - Question regards the CH / LH function, if this can be automatically activated rather than flashing the main beam prior to leaving the vehicle

Many Thanks
Elliott Boddy @Travelin-lite should be able to supply you with the relevant stuff you require for the folding mirrors, he's really helpful as well

Many thanks for your replies

Regarding the mirror folding
I had been reading the following and wonder if you can understand the coding change

I quote:-
all I changed was the 1500B1 to 1500B3 and 0400A1 to 0400A3
then you have to reset the one touch window switches,
you have to hold the lock button on key for a second or so longer for the mirrors to fold, then they unfold when you turn the ignition on

This all depends on the door modules installed, it definitely works for L revision modules. Some of the later T6 door modules work also but I’m not sure if the coding is the same.

Just checked and the door modules have suffix L
Any idea of the correct coding ?

The Values I stated we’re just some I had read about

Thanks

Of course I understand, more than a thousand moons ago
I think it was me who spread this info , 6R/T5/T6/etc.

All you have to do is:
- enable Byte3 Bit7 in your BCM.(09)
- enable Byte2 Bit1 in your T5.1 door modules (L). An example of how to do it.
- reset the comfort function 'one touch' for both windows.

Enjoy it.

Ciclo

Worked a treat and very happy thanks.
I’m looking to do a rear view camera soon so will be in touch for any advice on this if possible. Looking to buy a OEM camera and hopefully adapt this to a Alpine head unit ??

On a separate point,
Would you have any details for the secondary battery fuse box under front seat or diagrams for what this is for ?
There’s relays and fuses but I have no details for this in the owners manual ?
Reason for the interest is that there are a bunch of heavy red cables like 4mm or 6mm CSA just lying loose but covered with fabric tape /insulated which looks factory ? Bit concerned what these are for and what they would of been installed for ??

Thanks

I suppose it will be possible with the appropriate video signal converter. OEM RVC to Alpine HU.
Look at the instructions-manual of your Alpine head unit.

It is named 'Interface for external use'. https://www.t6forum.com/threads/electri ... -for.5302/

I've sent you by private message a link with all the wiring diagrams for T5. Download the PDF file.

Ciclo,

Many thanks for the information & your PM.

I have been looking at your posts regarding the TPMS upgrade you did, but your profile has over 300 pages !!
My Vehicle has TPMS but I get no actual pressures shown in the DIS just warning messages.
What would I require to make the DIS be able to show the actual tyre pressures ?

At present tyre pressures are set through the DIS menu but this is all you can do.

Thanks

This is what I did:

viewtopic.php?f=56&t=58703&start=3645#p525012

Important things.
- IC software.
- BCM/Gateway must have Address 65 available in the installation list.
- TPM unit software. We use the TPM unit indicated in the link (F version, H not works), F version works perfectly, but in the way that it's built for another platform (PQ35) the VCDS detects an unimportant bug (6 priority) in the start process (no problem).
- TPM unit and sensors/valves must be compatible.
- Original VCP to load the parameters.

Hello Lez78, welcome.
I do not longer manufacture these cables for T5, sorry, but ...

- Contact Adam87 and ask him about the wiring, maybe you'll be lucky ...
(my help will be absolute if he can provide them)

Adam will provide you with all the information.

---
I sent a PM to Adam so he can read our conversation.

ciclo wrote: Tue Feb 19, 2019 4:13 am 1- Install your new H7 Headlights, plug them.
2- VCDS. Go to BCM coding and disable Byte22 Bit2

Enjoy your new H7 headlights.

(please, check again all the exterior lights and report the result, thanks)
Sorry for the slow response, headlights were waiting until I had finished Climatronic which I have now

Interestingly there wasn’t a selection box for bit22 but when I manually changed it in the binary this worked perfectly.

Thanks!

(Do you know if there is a way to get the fogs to turn on with full beam? I did it in my mk7 but that’s a completely different system.)
