BCM High to BCM Max, AFS, LED Headlights and HBA

Post by federicodrdpro »

Hi, I have a VW Polo 6R with 6R0937087K BCM and I bought a 7E0937090C BCM. Which wires I have to change in my Polo after the new IC CAN line?

Lights switch connector:

AFS:
I plugged the AFS module without LED headlights and AFS sensor. But I receive an error about "Address 19: CAN Gateway":

The errors about "Address 55: Xenon Range" are normal because LED headlights and AFS sensor are not plugged yet.

P.S. Where can I buy a pin remove tool from Europe?

Re: BCM High to BCM Max, AFS and LED Headlights

Hi Federico, this is the installation guide (approximate) that you must follow to adapt the original wiring to your new BCM.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2nv91 ... NXS1U/view

A fuse box image is necessary too.
A complete and recent AutoScan is necessary.

Re: BCM High to BCM Max, AFS and LED Headlights

Post by federicodrdpro »

I studied the Installation guide  , but there isn't an electric scheme and I seen different versions of wirings (benji58, benzinkopf..)
If I see the benji58 version.

I already have T41/9 to SB10
SB4 is free, SB5 is for RVC camera and already have SB57(can I use SB60 like benzinkopf..? it is free) and why output to SB49 (fuel pump relay)? :?
New IC CAN line is not a problem.
I don't understand the wires in fusebox. (SB59, SB57, SB39)
T73b/11, T73b/68 input from pin?
T73b/2 output to?
In benzinkopf wiring I see also T73b/1. There isn't in benji58 wiring. Same for T73a/1.
connection of T73b/43, T73b/7, T73b/29?
T73b/4 to dimmer
connection of T73a/6 and T73a/45?
T41/38, T41/39, T41/40, T41/41 (HBA?)

I have read from a iichel post:

Step 4:
Remove the OBD connector from its holder and remove and isolate T16/6 and T16/14 (orange/black and orange brown)
Run a new twisted pair of wires. One goes from T73b/22 to T16/14 and the other goes from T73b/23 to T16/6.
This is your new CAN Diagnostics network.

Step 5:
Remove steering wheel and indicator stalk unit.
Remove the T41/3 (orange/black), make a Y connection and make a connection of the wire to T41/3 and T73b/19.
Remove the T41/2 (orange/brown), make a Y connection and make a connection of the wire and make a connection to T41/2 and T73b/18.
This is the new CAN powertrain network.

I can't see this step on the installation guide.

I think to install OEM RLS and HBA next. I can prepare the wirings for their.

P.S. I have to buy a new VCDS cable. Which one know OBDeleven?

As I said: (approximate)
What a mess you have mounted in your previous post!
Forget completely what you have read about iichel's post, it is not related to your 6R non Bluemotion.

There are different versions of the wiring looms to do depending on:

- The 6R model. Many versions.
- The equipments you want to add to your 6R. Many possibilities.

The errors about "Address 55: Xenon Range" are normal because LED headlights and AFS sensor are not plugged yet.

P.S. Where can I buy a pin remove tool from Europe?
I suppose you had installed the AFS control unit for T5. And it has parametrization for two suspention height sensors (front and rear) the right parametrization for Polo works only with one rear sensor. So you need find the AFS control unit for Polo 6R or reprogram current control unit. You will have to find parametrization file and interface(cable) which able to provide this (VagCanPro or ODIS).

T73b/54 -> T32/28
T73b/57 -> T32/29
And prepare 2 wires for HBA

STALK:
T41\9 -> SB10 (+15)

Ok, I didn't know that was necessary buy a VW Polo module. I am waiting to receive the VagCanPro cable, I will edit the parametrization file. But I never used VagCanPro cable.

P.S. Ciclo, can you check my wirings? :D

Hope so, but I read some post of the Polo 6R hatch owner, he faced with such issue, and there is not only by coding in the AFS control unit is configured but also parametrisation (like RDKS unit) so it is high possibility even it will be correct coding the fault concerning front height sensor will not go. And also it could makes wrong headlight range angle depending on rear axle height, because of the wrong wheel base

For example same thing is with PDC control unit, the sensors quantity is set: only by paramtrization: 3 rear (some Skoda models), 4 rear, 8 (front+rear)

I can't edit the AFS module coding with VAG cable. I receive an error "Coding rejected Error 31: Request out of range".

Ok ... to get rid of doubts, he can try this coding:

0110000001000000

and tell us what happen.

I suppose it is becase that AFS control unit has EEPROM set (parametrization) for T5, so it rejects any other coding.

Maybe it's because he is using one of rather antiquated VCDS version.

That version is already a relic.

OK ... make a new autoscan with your new VCDS version and my coding for address 55.

You have to tell me all the new equipments you want to install in your 6R to tell you which wires you have to modify, add, isolate, etc ...

Depending on what you say you will spend a certain amount of money,...in case, for example, you say that you are absolutely sure that you want to install HBA you will spend a large amount of money in realizing your project.
