New front Grille

Post by jimleaman »

Hi All,

Please excuse my lack of knowledge, but I recently had a bump which has cracked my front grille and removed the vw chrome badge.

I have been looking at purchasing a new grille, and stumbled across this on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-Po ... 0005.m1851

My question is, would a 'closed' grille have any impact on my air conditioning, engine cooling etc?

I've searched high and low on google about these closed grilles but haven't found anything.

Thanks in advanced

I'd be inclined to give a closed grill a miss for a car that previously had an open grill, normally these closed grills are for super efficient "green" models. I'd expect that if in UK the AC would not suffer too much and there are lower air intake points is there not (I've forgotten)?
