Re: Polo GTi 1.8 Cruise Retrofit
My Australian 2017 GTI came standard with cruise control (also Car Play etc), so it seems different markets choose the options they think they can sell.

Re: Polo GTi 1.8 Cruise Retrofit
I have a 2016 1.0TSI. I gave it to the dealers to retrofit cruise control. First they tried to fit a stalk, that didn’t work as there were a few wires missing. Then they realised that for the 6C the correct part number (was the same) had an A at the end. The correct part number was a new switch panel for the steering wheel.
Cost was £300

Cheers have tried VW retrofit and he says no too unfortunately. As does the dealer and a couple of other places.

Re: Polo GTi 1.8 Cruise Retrofit
it is possible to retrofit cruise control to a 6c but it is a stalk that needs to be fitted and there is no way to do it via the MFSW
Re: Polo GTi 1.8 Cruise Retrofit
More than happy with a stalk (presumably replacement indicator stalk). I just need to find someone that will do it?
I'm usually quite happy playing about and fitting bits but this is too new for me to want to get involved with and I don't have any way of activating it.

Re: Polo GTi 1.8 Cruise Retrofit
Didn’t you read my post? My VW dealer tried for 2 days to fit the stalk to my 6C. Turns out the 6C is missing 2 wires to make this work. On the 6C it’s done with adding additional buttons to the steering wheel.
Re: Polo GTi 1.8 Cruise Retrofit
I did read your post. But my local, and usually pretty good, dealer say it can't be done. Mine's the GTi which is seemingly what's causing the issue with the VW computer saying no. Not the parts availability but the licence side of it.

Ah sorry,
My VW dealer did have to send off to Germany for a license key to enable its use.
