FBZ Polo's

Post by firebulletz »

Hello everyone,
start by saying that I love this forum and I apologize if I do not write a perfect English. You are always active, helpful, kind and informed.

For those who do not know me I introduce myself: My name is Salvatore, I'm 24 years old and I'm Italian. I bought my first polo with 210.000km, and despite this I am satisfied to have bought it. Unfortunately or fortunately I love to personalize my cars as I like them, and polo is perfect for this.
Mine is a Polo 6r Comfortline of 2011, purchased without any options, only with immobilizer. I have made some changes and will continue to do so.

Changes made:
- 10.1" android radio Sinosmart
- On-board computer and cruise control
- Golf 7 R-Line Steering wheel with controls
- Second trunk light
- Blue neon strip on door panels (work in progress)
- Rear camera

I have to thank infinitely ciclo, without which I would never have installed the steering wheel controls

Changes that I will make:
- Footwell lights
- Lights under the doors
- Auto-lights with switch and sensor (aftermarket) with CH/LH
- Parking sensor (aftermarket)
- Rear camera OEM
- Headlights full led polo 6c (if possible) or headlights aftermarket (golf 7 style)
- Tail lights (aftermarket)
And many other little things that I do not remember now

I am currently trying to figure out how to take the +12v signal, to connect the blue neon strips, from one of the car's interior lights (for example, from the headlight switch or the window switch light), in order to use the regulator lights inside to check the neon strips. It would be better to be able to take the signal from each door connector, not to have to pass the cables through the whole car.

Alternatively I could take the signal from the dipped headlights, so when the leaving home is activated (when I install it) the neon strips will also be activated. In your opinion, what is the best option?

I wish I could upload some photos, but it is currently so dirty that it turns brown from blue.
I'll upload them shortly

This is my actual autoscan:

Welcome Salvatore (again )

I am currently trying to figure out how to take the +12v signal, to connect the blue neon strips, from one of the car's interior lights (for example, from the headlight switch or the window switch light), in order to use the regulator lights inside to check the neon strips. It would be better to be able to take the signal from each door connector, not to have to pass the cables through the whole car.

Please show us images of those blue neon strips installed. (although you have already shown them, show them here).
Post here the link where you bought them. The info provided by the seller is important.

Are you able to tell us what's the real consumption of those blue neon strips using a multimeter?
firebulletz wrote: Mon Mar 26, 2018 8:27 pm Alternatively I could take the signal from the dipped headlights, so when the leaving home is activated (when I install it) the neon strips will also be activated. In your opinion, what is the best option?
No, there are better solutions and everything will work according to your wishes.

---------------
By the way, due to the installation of your new great/big radio 8) , you must disable the radio and navigation from the Gateway installation list.

This is the link of product:

Now i can't measure actual consumption, I will do it as soon as possible

This is the blue neon strip (connected at the moment with original usb)

4W/m... hmm.. take the power from:

T10/9 driver's door window switches.
T4/2 in the rest of the doors for the window switches.

Driver's door window switches:
+ve
Image

They will be attenuated with the Dimmer and will light in case of automatic lights (any model ). Like the rest of red interior lights for switches..

Yeeessss

After a few seconds it starts to go out and re-ignite continuously, like a light bulb that is about to burn. I have to check if the connector I used works well or if it is the faulty transformer.

I have used this connector to take the signals:

The effect that from this strip is really nice:

I do not know why it turned out upside down[emoji23]

Maybe the LED is not suitable for dimming? Does it change when you move the instrument dimmer?

I found the problem. The inverter is for 5v while now it is working at 12v. I think the problem is this.
Is there a way to get the 5v or do I first buy a 12v inverter?

I don't think there is a 5v channel in the door wiring harness. A simple 12v to usb should work, usb is 5v and gives about 1a of current. Some devices will even give you 2a of current.

I managed to set everything except the remotes.
I did this: 09-cent. elect. -> adaptation - 10 -> remote control adaptation.
On "new value" i put "2" (i have 2 remotes), click "test" and after push the unlock button on two remotes, but they have not been recognized.
The bcm is compatible with 434mhz remotes?
I need your help [emoji21][emoji21]
