HI
I'm looking to get a carplay stero fitted into my car and i was wondering which model would be suitable as when i reverse the parking sensor display is available to see on the existing stereo, will i have to buy something more expensive to still have this displayed? If there is anyone who has fitted a carplay stereo in their car how was the process and how much did it cost? Thanks in advance!
edit: i have a 2013 match edition 1.2 polo

Re: carplay stero with parking sensor display
Hello,
I have bought the following I have it fitted to my car and have fitted them to my fleet at work which ranges from golfs, polos and transporters and everyone loves them, from what I can work out they appear genuine and work spot on.
I have genuine park pilot and it works great

I agree. Get something like an RCD330G (and do some research on which ones are suitable and genuine, there seem to be some differences among them).

another good place (and sometimes cheaper) would be to check Aliexpress

Re: carplay stero with parking sensor display
Thanks for the help, i ordered that unit and im having a bit of trouble fitting it, not sure what to do with these wires,
do i need an adaptor and if so which one? also i think the black tip wire is for the aux connection, if im correct i wont need this, is it safe to just tuck this behind the stereo or should i put electrical tape over it?
Also when i put it in reverse gear it defaults to the rear view camera and then i select the parking pilot option, is it possible to default to parking pilot when i put it in reverse?
also just want to say a huge thank to everyone for helping me out with this!

You need a two into one fakra adapter. The black is the DAB antenna. This radio doesn’t have DAB so leave that disconnected
