BCM max, RLS, Bixenon adaptation for my 6R Sedan

Post by sreeramkumars »

Hi Ciclo and other 6R veterans,
I've a 2015 1.2TSI 105bhp 6R Polo Sedan in INdia that originally came with 087k BCM. It was recently upgraded to BCM max (7E0 937 090 C) using Nikhil's help for retrofitting cruise control and we are left with one problem that he reached out to you here.

I'm also planning to retrofit -
1. Auto RLS (on the way)
2. maxidot cluster (6R0920870; already with me)
3. OEM valeo Bixenon headlights (year end).

Could you please help in providing a wiring kit and any other required accessory (such as dimmer) that can help in adapting the new BCM max fully, as well as provisioned for my subsequent upgrades. I'm in UK next week and can receive the wiring there; but would be installing only in July due to stay in UK.
Below is my full VCDS scan

Hi sreeramkumars, welcome

B  - Wiring for BCM Max adaptation + Automatic Lights Wiring + CH/LH (135 €)

Intallation guide
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2nv91 ... sp=sharing

Requested information (ASAP... to be able to send your wiring looms to UK on time)

Pictures from; (see the installation guide for reference)

Relay carrier. :?:
Light Switch connector. (colors of wires, both sides) :?:
Dimmer connector. :?:
Fuse box. :?:
New BCM.

VCDS Autoscan. Recent. OK

What Auto dimming mirror you have planned to install? Part number? :?:

Dimmer
6Q0941334 ... NEW. OEM. From my VW dealer = 40€ --> Same as this one.
Many reasons for this price (paypal, increases in paypal rates, "etc"), I don't get anything, Oh yes, headaches due to management.

Apart from all this, if you want this wiring for Dimming mirror and RLS = 30€

+ Shipping to UK (7 to 10 days) = from 500gr to 1000gr (approx 800gr) = 16€

Full Support here, in your topic.
When you post the resquested pictures I will manufacture your wiring looms and when I finish them I will contact you by email for payment.
Easy, fast, safe ... Impossible to be clearer in front of everyone.

And everything will work like a charm in your Vento/Sedan! :)

Very good pictures 8) , thank you very much!

- Dimmer ordered to my VW dealer. It will take 7 to 10 days to get from Germany to Spain.
- In the meantime I will manufacture your wiring looms and inform you of the process here.

It is not clear to me if you want the wiring for Auto dimming mirror and RLS.
 https://uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?f=56 ... 60#p524696

Can you please explain to me why you need to use two fuses for the dash cam (43,44)?
Or is it just fuse 44?
It will be necessary to reassign the power/feed of the dash cam in another slot, we need the slot 44 for a better installation. No problem for this, I'll tell you how to do it, it's very easy.

Hi Ciclo,

Many thanks for reverting back.
Yes, I want the wiring for Auto dimming mirror and RLS as well.
Regarding the dashcam, the 2 fuses are slotted into 43 via a single fuse tap (done by the dash cam installer). I removed fuse tap and connected fuses directly to 43,44 for sending the picture to you. Apologies if it had caused any confusion.

Thanks and Regards,
-Sree.

OK.

To prevent confusions, can you draw in the next image how the feed of the Dash Cam is connected?

HI Ciclo,
Attaching a couple of pictures to help understand.

1. The wire from dashcom is connected to the fuse box using this fuse tap
DashCam Fuse Tap.jpg
2. The fuse tap on the fuse box in slot 43. 44 is empty but covered by the fuse tap. I removed the fuses and connected them to the main fuse box in earlier picture. Apologies if it had caused any confusion.

Hi, thank you for your explanations. All is clear now.
It's a horrible way (pardon for my words ) to connect Dash Cam feed in the fusebox. Hides other fuses.

I will provide you with a clearer and easier way (with an image to install it).
Your wiring looms are made 95%. Soon an image of them.

The bad news. My VW dealer told me that the Dimmer will take 10-12 days to arrive. :x
Hmm... 10-12 days from DEU to SP, + 7-10 SP to UK, is it Ok for you?

Thanks Ciclo.

If the kit can be delivered on or before 20th June, I'll take it in UK..Any later will have to be shipped to India. We can decide this few days later.

Thanks again for progressing on my wiring.

Still wondering why need a 20A fuse for a dashcam. Does it come with an integrated heater? ;) (just kidding)

As always, big respect for your wiring skills ciclo!

I wonder the same thing. However, I respect the decisions of the installer or manufacturer (I don't know what the appropriate value of the fuse will be, 3A?, 5A?,10A? Max, 5A is more than enough). In any case it will work until it burns  (just kidding too).

Installation guide
Note: Use the SB10b slot instead of SB15b, or not. (currently occupied by Gentex Auto Dimming Mirror).

I'll send you my email by private message when I receive the Dimmer. (for payment, etc)
Excellent as always. Thanks a lot Ciclo for getting everything ready.

I hope that the images are clear for you to be able to do the installations.
Now we must be patient and wait for the Dimmer. I'll keep you informed of any new event.

No news yet from my VW dealer for the Dimmer. :|
I am afraid that your wiring looms will be sent to India.
