Fayebae’s Polo GT UPDATESSSS!!!!!!!!

Post by FAYBAE »

Hi Guys,

Myself & the Mrs bought ourselves a 2016 1.4 TSI DSG 150BHP Polo.

Looking to add some subtle mods including some engine mods.
The attachment polo .jpg is no longer available
Looking at lowering about 35mm, wheel spacers, forge intake, miltek non res exhaust, rear diffuser, remap, debadge rear boot, 35% rear window tints (factory look), intercooler.

Anyone know where I can get a gloss black rear diffuser from....

Hi and welcome to the forum. I think you have chose a great Polo with it being a Blue GT ... not that I’m biased
Here are the rear gloss black diffuser part numbers:
Gloss black diffuser (GTI/BlueGT/R WRC): 6R6 807 568 N 041
Gloss black towing eye cover rear (GTI/BlueGT/R WRC): 6R6 807 441 A 041

Is the forge intake specifically for the Blue GT?

Cheers

Thankyou :), I had to help her because she was just going by looks and she was interested in the Nissan Juke till she drove it hahah! Finally got her into a Volkswagen and she loves it!

Thankyou for those part numbers! Do you know how much they retail at?

I checked on awesome GTI and they class it as the GTI 1.4 TSI induction kit so I’m guessing it will still fit the GT.

I’m not to sure as to what’s different with the GTI then the GT, k know this one has the 2 cylinder cut off technology and the 7 speed new gear box...that’s about it.

Any more info on it would be great! I’ve been out the dub scene for about 6 years!!

I can’t price those parts exactly but if you get in touch with TPS who provide genuine VW parts but generally not at dealer prices they can sort it.
I think the 6R GTI engine has a different intake position that the GT does as I have been looking for a decent induction kit/solution for the last 4 years haha.

I have seen one or two people who have put a cone filter in and done away with the panel filter housing but I can’t see the benefit of the engine breathing warm air :D
I’m sure I’ll find something to suit in the near future

Yeah looks a bit gash and half assed tbh, the forge kids are nice and tidy, look OEM & proven gains on throttle response. I’ll keep looking!

Snap! (kinda)

I've had mine just under a month now, can't fault the car at all. I've got the older 6R, 6 speed with 148bhp.

Loads of fun to drive.

Look after it!

Nice mark!

Any mods on the horizon? I know these can make 180bhp with a generic remap....im hoping to go all out and get about 200bhp with mods...

Any thoughts on lowering?

:D

Not too sure at the mo, with exception to replacing the old RCD310 stereo unit. Can't stand not having bluetooth streaming...

I've been quoted for a Revo remap to between 176-197bhp just not too sure what the old Insurance man will say as I'm still a young driver.

I may think about lowering a tad more but I really like the feel of this so far, and they're lowered 15mm stock if I can remember rightly?

Oh, and maybe some brighter bulbs on the front and back, but again not too sure if I will yet :P

How much do revo charge mark?

I was put off there maps due to owning a diesel cupra R and it was such a bad map I swore id never use them but maybe they are not diesel experts....

They've quoted £399+VAT so about £450ish in total.

I've only just changed from a Ford Fiesta 1.2L at 82bhp so to jump to 148bhp, I'm happy at the moment haha

Yeah just had a convo with one of them.

Figures are around 197bhp & 240FTLB I said it may vary because I have the DSG and they're not as strong as the 2.0l DSG boxes & they have torque limits set to preserve the box, however they've guaranteed that all maps are road mapped and never push the parameters of what each engine an gearbox is capable of, obviously this is crucial as its a daily and I don't want to be forking out for a new 7 speed DSG box!

Yours would be fine, they only supply a stage 1 and if your worried just upgrade the clutch. :D
