Eibach vs GTi springs

Post by Shappers01 »

Hi,

I fitted the Bilstein/Eibach Pro kit to my car. Unfortunately the front end has ended up a little low for my taste (-25). I have the 1.0 TSI with R-Line and the front spoiler is decking out too much for my liking.

I don’t want to go back to stock so I was thinking of fitting GTI front springs (-15mm). I have read that these springs are very firm which puts me off a bit. Does anyone know how the GTI springs compare to the Eibach when it comes to stiffness/ride quality?

Thanks!

i have gone from stock 6c gti springs to eibach pro springs

i would say the stock springs are stiffer and offer worse ride quality.

Thanks for the reply, that's exactly what I wanted to know.

Any alternatives with only a modest drop or is is possible to space up my eibach springs 10mm somehow?

I just read that the Blue GT also has a 15mm drop, are these springs also as stiff as the GTI?
