Does the Beetle cluster not fit? It looks very similar

As mentioned before. I think (referring to my radar version), BSD is really standalone and as I’m following the installation setup like the Audi Q7, the system get its own switch On button. Before I get to enable the menu inside the MFD, I can already switch on the system with the button. And now(with the help of Madwarlock), inside the coding, i can only either have the switch using the button OR change to the MFD menu which makes the button not function. Since the MFD control is only available when the car is stationary, i decided to use the button instead. Only the brightness settings i use the MFD which is also optional since you can adjust the brightness using the vcds anyway.

It's certainly possible but you'll need people that do this for a hobby or a living. Perhaps madwarlock or spacewalker could help out?

I study New Beetle and only function tahat Citigo ahsnt is BDS system ...No High Beam Assist I hope ... So there are two variants :

1) 7E0 BSD System, as Benzinkopf has :
12pin connector - enabling by button from Q7 or I find better shapped A6 button - 4F0927451
Pros : cheaper, works standalone operated by button, no need to change instrumet cluster
Cons : need calibration ( no autocalibration ) :(, no rear traffic alert on MIB2 units( or it support?), which is main advantage for me :( :( :(

2) 5Q0 BSD System
8pin connector - enabling only via Maxidot, no pins for button :(
Pros : BSD 3.0, rear trafic allert, autocalibration
Cons : More expensive, need to change instrument cluster to Beetle = very very expensiv if possible :( :( :( :( :(

So I am sad ...

Calibration of 7E0 units is possible via VCDS or VCP ? Because officialy via ODIS probably not ...

I am afraid calibration is possible with Odis plus Doppler simulator only, but if you use second hand radars you don't have to calibrate at all.
Your used radars have been calibrated with the donor vehicle and there is no need to repeat that process.

Till now, i still got the missing calibration error because i havent try the calibration again after able only to calibrate one radar with vcds. the other radar im not sure why. But the system works no issue till now. so i’m just let it be. maybe i will look into 2nd/3rd gen like Madwarlock did and combine with Discovery Media and MQB pdc, we will be able to have both Side Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

I have a couple of 7E0 C units somewhere and if I remember correctly, they can be activated from the MFD and button. Not sure if they auto calibrate.

Has anyone managed to complete the retrofit of 5Q0 BSD System with RTA(rear traffic alert) on PQ25 platform vehicle? I am in the middle of getting this installed on my T6.

if i’m not mistaken madwarlock did that with Discovery Media+PDC module from MQB. You may want to search in Drive2.ru for his logbook.
