Evening.
I won't mention any names, but I have a potential issue with main VW dealer.
I bought a 64 plate Polo Blue GT in July 18.
During the test drive there was a distinct clicking coming from the drivers side.
The sales rep told me that it was the trade plate clicking on the rear window - sounded feasible.
Bought the car, and on the drive home the clicking started again.
I reported the problem within a week and VW took the car into to fettle it.
Long story, short - they thought the problem was the seat belt tensioner, they had 2 - 3 goes at that fix.
This then moved to a problem with a body panel "rubbing" (my word) on the B pillar.
The last fix last about 3 weeks, and I was forced to call them and complain.
They have now had the car for the best part of 2 weeks.
ISSUE
They rang today to say that the VW warranty won't cover the repair and they are waiting for the Sales Manager to make a decision on what to do next.
If I had got to this stage while the car was under the 1,000 mile warranty, I would have handed back the keys.
As it is, we are 7 months down the line and there is a chance they will try to fob me off.
Anyone know where I stand ?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Id say you could reject it on being not fit for purpose. Sale of goods act will assist in this instance, as theyve had ample opportunity to fix, and you had reported it to them within the 1000 mile period.
