New to forum

Post by JDMordicant »

Hi All

New to forum, have read a lot of helpful posts on here and decided to join.

I have a Polo GTI 6c 1.8 TSI DSG 5 door 2016 model in Black. I have just started to mod it after finally paying off the finance.

So far I have debadged the wing badges and blacked out the rest, replaced the rear light clusters with some UKESA LED tail lights. I have a seicane head unit on order and a scorpion turbo back sports cat full exhaust with stage 1 remap coming in the next few months. Will post some pics soon.

Thanks for reading and hope to be a useful member of this community. :D

so do you lose any of the features of the oem head unit by replacing it?

as a lot of the car controls are done through the head unit.

So the unit hooks into the canbus and there is an app for vehicle settings however to change a lot of the settings I plan on hooking up odb11 to the head unit which should allow me to make any changes that are not available over the Canbus app.

That's the theory at least xD

I'll post up a guide if what I do and any pros/cons along the way, hopefully that will help anyone else thinking of doing the same.

Thanks Pete.

If you or anyone else looks to order them just make sure they send you the correct wiring harness. The ones that come with them didn't work correctly on mine. Reverse and fog lights would not light up. They are sending me the correct ones through at the moment. Will post up the part number when they arrive.
