Timing belt tools?

Hi im doing a timing belt on my mates 64 plate polo its a 1.2 is there any specific tools i need or any vw specific tools thanks

You do know that replacing that timing belt on a 1.2TSI 16V engine is not a maintenance activity, it is only a repair when necessary according to VW, which means you need to remove the top cover and turn the engine through an entire revolution to check the condition of the belt both internally and externally, these belts are made from better material than in the past so belt material is said to be good for a very long time/miles, I might replace the belt on my wife's 2015 Polo in 2021 - just to be playing safe.

Well I'd think that for any/all modern engines, a specific set of bespoke fixings will be required to hold things in place when taking a timing belt off, surely you have answered your own question.
