Re: some errors after upgrading 1S0937087D bcm to 1S0937090F
Okay, I'm going to do your new BCM coding, hopefully no errors come up due to the license plate lights.
Please wait a while. Thank you.

If the current license plate installation will result in some error I will put a new wire directly to T73b/7 to sort it

OK.
Test this new BCM coding:
7AB82B0000010000090806D46CEBBEC870C060F0608E2441200000420100
Please report the result, don't forget to also check the reverse gear.
If there are faults in the scan for any of the lights, please tell me the type of bulb installed for that light. Thanks.

Hi,
I tried the new coding and the situation remains the same: No interior lights, no permanent high beam (stalk forward).
Also no faults (even after driving for a minute):
Reverse gear is (and was) OK.
Some small additional notes about your coding:
- I have an automatic gear
- I don't want to use rain sensor at this time

Ok, thanks for the clarifications, you can later select what best suits your needs or taste.
Well, some part of the wiring is not properly installed, we will have to investigate the causes.
I have to check the diagrams for your UP, I haven't seen these diagrams in a long time, it will take me some time to ask you some questions about the electrical installation you have done.
Note: In the previous autoscan that you posted you had the diagnostics of some lights disabled, I don't know the reasons or if it was that way from the factory. I never enable the lamp diagnostics that are previously disabled.

Wait a minute,
.... double check that you copied and pasted the new BCM coding correctly.
Because the one you show here is not correct. viewtopic.php?p=577622#p577622

I hope you are not getting help from someone else and you are not following my guidelines.
You have to do exactly what I tell you, otherwise my help has ended right now.

Re: some errors after upgrading 1S0937087D bcm to 1S0937090F
I am sorry I made a mistake in copying, my apologies.
But I need to change 1 bit because I have an automatic gear and not a manual gear, so byte 27 needs to be 40h and not 42h.
After writing the correct coding you specified (byte 18 to 60h instead of 40h which I forgot) the main beam *is* working! Great
And still no errors in bcm:
Only the interior lights are not working yet.
Regards,
H2Deetoo

Ciclo, your help is greatly appreciated, ever since the beginning of this project!
I did set bit 1 of byte 27 now and interiour lights *are* working now !
And no fault codes in bcm:
So the description for this bit is defined wrong in the VCDS label file it seems :-/
Or you have some other explanation?
Muchas gracias!

Depending on the year of manufacture of the BCM and other factors, some information in the previous links may not work for your car.

Re: some errors after upgrading 1S0937087D bcm to 1S0937090F
Perhaps slightly offtopic, but massive respect for this work on your VW Up!.
I did a cruise control retrofit on one today and I'm always yelling and cursing at the BCM connectors. Especially the bastard white one since it's always in places my fingers cannot reach.
It's hard to imagine removing terminals and doing a BCM max retrofit.
Share your secret, pretty please
