Thanks ciclo, I will try to add the missing wire.

Wires?
At this time I will only add the T73a/63 input power signal, that's most important for me (anual checkup fail).
And from what I can see this is just 1 wire ;-)

The other wires, I assume you mean for low/high beam and parking lights?
I am thinking about it but to be honest I can live with some errors ...

Thank you,

Hi ciclo,

I have ordered some parts so while waiting I am studying your solutions in order to understand them better.

Could you tell me why J33 has to be removed for these adjustments?
I see no harm leaving it, but I guess you always like to be "complete" ? :)

I see you redirect parking bulbs and low beam bulbs directly to bcm, I understand.
But what about the mainn beam, how is that controlled then?
(I understand high beam has always been controlled by bcm through stalk position.)

>(I understand high beam has always been controlled by bcm through stalk position.) NO

I mean "flash" beam (highest possible light beam to flash to signal arriving traffic, I don't know what the exact word is for this in English?
I guess this flashing is done by changing intensity of the high beam bulb?

In your LB/HB solution you say "Remove SC13A wire, splice here".
I am not sure what you mean here.
I think it means I need to add an extra wire to SC13A and leave the original wires as they were?

I am sorry not all is clear to me, I am trying to understand

Btw, when I have finished your wirings, does this mean it's possible to activate and use coming home/leaving home? I see CH/LH can use the low beam which is then controlled by bcm.
If with your current solution it is not possible to use CH/LH with dipped beam, would it be possible to explain what to change to do make it work (if possible at all)?

In your VW up!, the high beam FLASH is powered by a +30 signal without BCM control, either ignition switch ON or OFF.
With the ignition switch ON (+15) and how other electrical components are connected/wired (Stalk switch, J33 relay, light switch) is how the use of high beams is controlled/defined in your VW up!

In no case the high beam (flash or not) have a BCM control in your VW up!

no, your H4 filament bulbs don't do such things ...

e.g. remove A wire, cut A terminal, strip the wires, splice a Butt terminal to this original wire (A) and to the new wire from BCM.
You don't have to do anything else at this point, the image is crystal clear (with colors).

Read https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PBSncn ... 4qT_q/view (again)

Everything is possible.
You need to add the RLS with its wires, also more BCM Max adaptation wires and also the automatic light wiring.
Read https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PBSncn ... 4qT_q/view

The three images I made is only to adapt BCM Max with the big T17 light switch connector, not for the small T10 light switch connector.

Why is RLS (rain light sensor) needed to support CH/LH ?
(General idea is they're not related at all?!)

I think in your simple solution you still use low/main beam power controlled by T17 switch, so CH/LH can't work if this switch is turned off ?
Is that the main reason CH/LH can't work with this simple solution?

I will study danikd's changes once more!

Yes ok, so split 1 wire into 2 (Y cable) and make sure the original wire remains intact and extra wire goes to bcm.
I guess you leave LB/HB control fully by T17 switch and simply let the bcm output check for voltage/current to detect bulb problem? So it won't trigger the errors?

Simply you think, you guess, in a simple way.

There is nothing better than a simple solution for something complex (which you still don't understand).

Weird reaction, is something wrong?

I'm simply trying to understand your solution, searching through wire diagrams, but its all new to me and I don't get the full overview yet.

And is there a problem with me selling clusters?
I do that for many many years already.

if I look at M29 (left low beam) it normally comes from SC13 which comes from J33 which comes from SC1 which comes from battery.
If we remove J33 (as you suggest) then SC13 becomes unconnected, so we can simply pull out SC13A and connect directly to T73a/2. No need to splice?

Is this what you describe in your picture solution?
If M29 is directly controlled by T73a/2 then CH/LH should work if low beam is used for that.
You don't agree?

Can you explain why RLS sensor would be needed for CH/LH ?

I finally realized CH/LH only works when it is dark outside, so it requires the RLS indeed.

Hello,

I finally got around to putting the missing power wires into our VW Up.
I did exactly as you suggested, using 30A fuse in SB2, and splitting to 2 fuses of 15A and put them in SC35 and SC43.

I first installed wire from SC35A to T73a/63.
Then when I looked at T73b/68 I noticed this wire was already present?!
(I can't upload a picture, I get error : board attachment quota has been reached)

Do you have any idea why this wire would be present in my car's setup?
I also checked that I had T73b/12 blue/black and I can confirm it now with a good picture.

Anyway, the reverse light is working now as you sugggested :)
The rest of the wire changes (to resolve the current light bulb errors) will be for a later time.
I am also thinking of installing an RLS sensor (where/how?) so I can change wiring for auto lights and CH/LH.

Thanks again for helping so far, you can truly perform magic!

For completeness, here are the 4 errors which are still remaining in the bcm (until I get that sorted):
