6R to 6C Headlight upgrade help

Hi all, Im new to the polo world and just picked up a 2011 Bluemotion. As discovered the H4 headlights are dire.
Ideally I would of liked the full Led upgrade but after reading many posts it seems ALOT of work so I’ll settle with the twin H7 setup from the 6C.
I’ve read on some posts that if you have start stop you can do this pretty simply? I’m just wanting some instructions on what to do.
I have VCDS and can follow directions.

Thanks in advance

Hi Sbozzy, welcome.

Please post an Autoscan, or BCM coding. Thanks.

Easy for your 6R Bluemotion:
1- Buy the 6C H7 headlights.
2- Install them.
3- New BCM coding.
4- Level/correct the light beam patterns with a suitable regloscope.

BCM byte 22 needs to be 00, byte 18 (probably) 61

Ok I’ll have a look tomorrow on vcds to see if I can give you the bcm log?
I’m pretty new to it I’ve only done basic coding and adaptions before.
Thanks

It's enough.

Extended -VCDS-:
Always the most important thing is to save the automatic scans once done.
When you click SAVE, it is stored directly in the VCDS Program Logs folder, unless you indicate another route/path.

You must save at least one autoscan and all adaptations data of each unit with the original configuration of the car, or with the current one with everything OK... everything will be saved in the Logs folder.
It's very simple to do and that very few do. :)

It will save you from headaches if you do any clumsiness  (*I mean improper procedure) when you code, adapt, flash, or make a basic adjustment in any unit.
Forums around the world related to these issues are full of questions about these issues (sometimes very difficult to solve) for not having made these Logs.

It is very difficult to do clumsiness* with VCDS... with other tools it is very, very easy...

One of my new h7 headlights has turned up today though so at least that’s good news.

That BCM coding is perfect for your new 6C H7 headlights.
Everything will work correctly once you have installed them.

This has let me put part of the scan up, so I’ve found a bit that mentions the BCM is this ok?
Can’t understand why this forums posting system won’t let me post the whole scan, it says “Forbidden contains contacts message appears to be spam” !!!
Then I have to wait 30min to post anything else as it says data submitted to often wait a few minutes and try again.

I guess it is necessary to have managed to have 10 posts in order to enjoy all the functions of the forum.

You need one more to complete this supposed game. :)
