Hi guy hope everyone is doing good in time on pandemic,
My 6r has the basic exterior package and the rear end looks dull.
Im wondering if the lip part can be detached and replaced with some other?
Or has anyone pulled something out with this stock one like a paint job to look like it has a diffusor or some kind of gti/ style lip?
Any pictures are welcome!
( Mine is like in the pic but even without the exhaust tip end)

Re: Rear lip
Pretty certain the rear lip above the rear screen isn’t a separate part - it’s part of the metal pressing for the tailgate, so can’t be removed and replaced with a different lip. You can see it on this YouTube video in the VW Polo factory from 4min 20sec to 5min 9sec when the robot on the production line has lifted the tailgate up during the paint spraying process.

Polo models such as the GTI, Blue GT or Bluemotion have a different tailgate lip spoiler, but on these models, the spoiler is attached onto the existing metal lip.

Re: Rear lip
I meant the lip under the licence plate on the rear bumper. The part where the exhaust pokes out.

The bumper looks the same, just the lip is different.

Re: Rear lip
No it's not a separate part. You need to replace the entire bumper

Re: Rear lip
Yes
But
You'll need to swap the bumper carriers (the brackets below the tail lights).
