Instrument panel swap

Post by cypress »

Good day,

I accidentally came across a topic for changing the instrument panel.
now that seems cool to me.

However, I have a few questions about this.
If I take the GTI cluster.
then I have to update it so that it contains my current polo information (mileage, immobilizer, etc).
And then it has to be coded to the polo.

now my question is.
Is this further Plug and play?
Are the GTI cluster MFD or MFD +?

will the analog coolant temperature gauge and fuel gauge also work, or should wires be laid for this?

If the gti cluster is MFD +, will options like Oil temperature work?

And can it cause problems that the gti cluster goes up to 280km / h instead of 240km / h?

A GTI MFD + instrument panel must be adapted to your car using special tools.
My recommendation due to proximity:
Contact madwarlock (Slavik), he is a user of this forum, he can do it for a reasonable price, and the process is totally safe.
- Everything will work as it should. (oil temperature included)
- You don't need additional wires.
- No problem due to the Max speed ... in fact, the ICs with 280 Km/h are more accurate.

Edit:

I recently responded to an insturment panel, which was a 2 hour drive.
In itself no problem, but it is annoying that you get a message after more than 1 hour driving that the insturment panel is no longer available ...

So that was annoying ...

Now I have responded another.
Only that is a Type C instead of D, is there a lot of difference between the 2?

Hello guys,
I want to replace my IC 6R0920860J with 6R0920870.
My POlO is 1.4 MPI.
So 6R0920870 can work in my CAR?
It is MFD or MFD +?
Thank you,

Difficult to say, google doesn't really have the answer click

It looks like it's the 6R GTI cluster (revs to 8000, speed to 280 km/h) and that should work in your 1.4 MPI engine (CGGB)

Do you have a picture of the instrument cluster you want to place?

Does it matter that the cluster does not go up to 280 km / h?

The cluster I have goes up to 240.

But the revs go up to 8000.

6R0920870C is the number: P

Hello again guys,
Does anyone know what parts code I would need to have TPMS directly on My Polo?
Custer, BCM, etc.
Thank you in advance.
