Is it possible to install a sub on the stock radio?

Yes, you just need to remove the radio.
Get your audio from the purple and green wires there will be 2 of each - positive/negative. Just splice them with a connector of some kind.
Get your 12v power from the battery and if you’re putting your speaker in the boot, there is a nice grounding point by spare wheel well.

Another method is:

Get a Hi to low converter, that converts the speaker wires into RCA, get a Amp, if you just running a sub, id reccomend a 1 channel or a bridgd 2 channel, then connect the RCAs and remote wire from the amp to the High to low converter, connect Power wires etc to the amp and ground it on metal in the boot area, then you should be good to go, not sure a Subwoofer would work without a amp or on a stock radio, howver companies like Alpine have a 8" subwoofer that has a built in amp with high to low converter and all the cables necessary for the install.
