RCD 200 Stock Radio

Post by liamchaps »

I'm trying to install an Edge 12" Sub on the stock radio
I can either use High-level input or get a low-level adaptor but not sure which to go with
And how would I go about getting a remote turn on, could I use the cigarette lighter as that is controlled with the ignition

If it's got a high level input then use that (basically has the hi-lo converter built in). You could just run an extra set of wires from the rear speakers.

As for remote turn on you could just use an add a fuse adaptor in the fuse box off an ignition switched supply and stick the lowest rated fuse you can find in it.

So since I don't have rear speakers I have four spare connections in the wiring harness should I use them or just splice the front speaker wires in the harness or does it not really matter?

If there's an output on the channels of the headunit use them. Probably be the easiest option.
