Well, I guess a good start would be to show us your current car.
Lots of pictures please :)
- Front of the car
- Light switch + wiring
- Dimmer + wiring
- Relay carrier
- Fuse box
- Interior mirror

If you have any access to VCDS, please also share an autoscan.

From the top of my head, the minimum requirement will be:
BCM 7E0 937 090x (best place to source these are with Firegrafik from fussia)
Stalks 7E0 for HBA
Light switch 3C0 with auto function either OEM VW or Aliexpress
Mirror 7E0 for HBA, if you have the correct windshield
Cluster with MFD+ would be nice I guess
And a lot of wirings

I just want to comment that I no longer manufacture these wiring looms for HBA, BCM adaptation, etc (in case someone is waiting for them), I am sincerely sorry.🙏

I have for sale two wiring for automatic lights (the last of this great adventure that began a long time ago), for which it is necessary to comply with the requirements described in the sale (BCM Max or 088, and RLS).

I have aftermarket Headlights which I would like to keep(Plug and Play Unit), Led H7 Bulbs for High and Low. High and low are different projectors. DRL which also function as Turn Indicators. Would like to keep the Fog lamps as cornering lights as my headlight unit does not have the cornering lamps as in the case of BiXenons.
Aftermarket Headlights current use the stock T10 Connector. Also would like to install the dimmer + headlight level switch (only if i can source the parts and its possible with this mod)

I have one doubt, the wiring inside the headlights seems to be customized as the DRLs seem to work even without turning on the Light Switch(Atleast a Part of it), if i set light switch to parking DRLs seem to light all the way. Rest function are the way they were with H7 Stock Halogens.

Ciclo, I understand and i am well aware that you have stopped making the wiring for such mod. But it would be great help if you can help me with making my own wiring as i am newbie here. (Have some experience in making wiring loom for my another car) As I am not aware of the wiring schematics for Polo.

If any one else can help or make the wiring for me, it would really be great. Guys would need help in sourcing Parts like BCM Max, Pins, Connector, etc.

Would like to do HBA Also if its not hard and specially if its cost effective.

Thanks Guys.

I'm using these tools for pins:
  • Laser 3932
Terminal Tool, Internal diameter 2.8mm, external diameter 4mm (LAS3932)
  • Cable Connector Loosening Tool CE91 B.60100/CE91 BGS Technic
replacement for Release tool VAS 1978/7A for flat contacts with two locking tabs, contact width 1.5mm (ASE 401 517 02 000)

I can help you, but only for the BCM Max adaptation and installation of automatic lights. I have made many cars exactly the same as yours (from India).

Not for HBA, wiring installation is different.

The automatic lights wiring that corresponds to your POLO 6R GT TSI is MY D, E, ... etc.
viewtopic.php?f=62&t=69223#p516196

In case you want me to help you, you will have to buy my wiring for automatic lights and you have to tell me that you really want it once you have seen the price of the previous link.

I have to review the material that I have available in case I can help you (manufacture) with some of the wiring for the BCM Max adaptation.

Everything will be done in this thread publicly.

Buy the BCM Max with the help of firegrafik, get in touch with him. This is also mandatory ...

I have also seen that you are looking for an IC with MFA +, please contact madwarlock or contact patil to tell you where he bought his IC. This is also mandatory ...

Cheaper and better impossible ... I repeat, IMPOSSIBLE.

In this way everything will work out perfectly and we will not have to find out or solve problems with other purchases that you make to do all this.

ciclo wrote: Mon Sep 07, 2020 6:04 pmCheaper and better impossible ... I repeat, IMPOSSIBLE.
Cost effective was in the sense that if the parts required for HBA are going to be expensive like the stalks and mirror then would have dropped the idea.

Sir you would have to guide in purchasing of pins,wires,etc..(Some of them can be sourced in my country.) and Parts like Headlight Switch, Dimmer Switch,etc.. with part No. and where can i buy it. As you might be aware is hard to source OEM parts in India as they do not sell over the counter.

Regarding this mod I would Like
1. Coming Home Lights
2. Leaving Home Lights.
3. Cornering Function to be retained by the Fog Lamps
4. Led Number Plate Lights.
5. Dimmer Switch with Headlight Level Adjuster (IF POSSIBLE)

6. The Feature Where you can turn on left parking lights and tail lights with stalk only if your car is turned off. (Sorry Do Not Know the Exact Name)

Sir I have this headlight, they are aftermarket would like to retain them
https://www.aliexpress.com/i/4000704315232.html

As per my observations the High Beam doesnt seem to work properly if light switch is not turned on
Drls are also indicators. There are no Parking lights
Low Beam has Led Bulb
Drls seem to work even without turning on the light switch(How DRLS are suppose to work), brightness reduces if turn light switch in to parking position or headlight on position
It has T10 connector. Plug and Play Unit

The link to the artermarket headlights is not correct. :)

The operation of the lights of your aftermarket headlights is totally correct. (DRLs, Parking lights, Side lights, etc)
It only remains to clarify the operation of High Beam with the light switch in position 0. You mean the flash HB function doesn't work when you pull from the lever... :?:

All the functions that you indicated that you would like are perfectly possible and will be what you get (plus others). Apart from automatic lights function for tunnels, garages, low light conditions, rain, etc...

Please allow me some time to organize this installation you want to do ... I'll tell you what parts to buy.
The checkout process at the end, when we have everything ready to ship.

Tell firegrafik to check that channel 1 is available to match remotes.
I have received recent information and this must be verified before he ships the new BCM Max to you.

Re: Polo 6R GT TSI 1.2 BCM Max + Auto Headlight + HBA

Post by adityagttsi »

The Flash High Beam Function works but is not powerful because the ballast is not powered at that time since the Light Switch is off

Btw just a curiosity

How does the DRL seem to work in Light Switch Position Off i.e via Ignition Switch? As far i know 087 BCM doesnt support DRL/Parking Light to be on via Ignition Switch

Anyways tomorrow will upload the link to the youtube video of How my Headlight Works. Just to make it clear so that no problems arise in future.

Thanks for the help Ciclo.

Ok, I understand perfectly what is happening with the HB flash of your aftermarket headlights with the light switch in position 0. It is possibly a manufacturing defect of the interior wiring and/or management of a possible integrated circuit of those aftermarket headlights. This is not possible to correct, but with automatic lights this will not be a big problem because 99% of the time you will have the light switch in the AUTO position.
The HB flash signal reaches the aftermarket headlights well, but the headlight only sends the signal to the light emitter that is in the innermost part of the headlight (which I suppose will be an LED that does not have great lighting power) and does not send the signal to the ballast that manages the xenon bulb when the light switch is in position 0.

Please take a clear picture of the headlights, also an individual one of a headlight, as close as possible. Thank you very much.
It will be perfect to explain and understand what is happening.

About the DRLs on the headlights.
Today, headlights have an LED module in which different functions/lights of a car are integrated, typically the DRLs, Parking/Side Lights, and Turn Signals.

DRLs: The LED module only works with the light switch in position 0 (or AUTO), DRL is brighter because it is used during the day (logicaly).
Parking/Side Lights: The LED module works with the other light switch positions, they have less brightness than DRLs.
Turn signals: They have priority over DRLs or parking/side lights on the LED module.
