Ready for my BCM upgrade...What's next?

Post by Lucero79 »

Hi all,

Thanks for your time with me, even though I don't have a Polo :D

BCM7E0937090C arrived, how can I post my autoscan here? Says invalid file extension. Could someone help me with the wiring I need to accomplish this fit (before I even get around to retrofitting anything). Does anyone still make the looms, or am I on my own.

Click on "Post Reply"
And just copy and paste entire VCDS scan.
No need to upload it as attachment or so.

Tried that too. Interestingly your AutoScan in your polo thread has the web address though :?

Ok guys,

So what's possible? If I upgrade BCM, and money, time and parts are no problem, what, from this list, is likely to be dooable (using @iichel list of OEM retrofits)

OEM: Proper front windscreen with RLS (heated)
OEM: Auto Front light upgrade (ideally bi-xenon, but that would require auto levelling and headlight washers)
OEM: Folding/Heated mirrors
OEM: Power rear windows
OEM: Climate Control (over normal aircon)
OEM: Cruise Control
OEM: 6J facelift dashboard
OEM: infotainment upgrade (with BT, USB/UAX)
OEM: Heated front seats (but not essential as the seats are not leather)

Not sure what else that there could be that would make my life more enjoyable :D

It's not a wrong BCM. For the things I commented in bold, your current BCM is fine so the 090 is a bit overkill. For the others, an upgrade is needed.

Oh wow, ok, I see what you are saying now. My current BCM is actually ok for most of the upgrades and wouldn't require any special wiring on my part. Is it likely then that the wiring looms in the car already contain most of the plugs / wiring needed for some of these upgrades?
