Disable 6C Alarm?
Disable 6C Alarm?
Anyone know if the alarm can be completely disabled? Mine went of twice in the early hours for no apparent reason. The manual suggests that only the motion detection can be disabled.

Pull out the fuse while the car is unlocked.

Not really an option by torchlight at two in the morning!
Never been a problem to lock the car without setting the alarm on every other car I've owned. Another annoyance is you cancel the alarm by unlocking, so if someone was actually interfering with the car you've just given them access! Bonus annoyance is lighting the street up.

Re: Disable 6C Alarm?
Have you tried disabling the interior monitoring just in case it is that that is causing the problem, after trying that it would be better if you could connect a scan tool like VCDS or Carista or OBDeleven and see what is any errors are getting logged.
Next question, have you checked the condition of that car's 12V battery.
Other than that you will need to remove or ease up the black plastic trim panel below the wipers and reach down and unplug then unscrew the horn/battery assembly and take it out completely, you might try opening it up by cutting along the box seems and checking if the internal rechargeable battery pack has failed, and is so try to make up a replacement one - after that it will be a new alarm assembly if you need to get an alarm up and running again.
It will just be down to checking as much as possible to come to a conclusion as to what the root cause of this alarm sounding is.
