Hi all,
I have a leak coming from the washer bottle pump at the connector. The square clip has broke so it is not securing meaning water is leaking. However, I cannot find out where to get a replacement part that isn’t stupid money. I have attached an image of what I am looking for.
Looking for the clip shown ID’d 3/5 in the image.

Re: 2009 washer hose clip - leak
Hi, a temporary (or perhaps permanent) solution is to remove the elbow containing the square clip and directly connect the pipe to the pump.

How about using one of these machines or a hair dryer to remove the elbows or insert the hose?
Use them carefully ... little by little, do not apply too much heat, plastics and rubbers have a temperature limit.

Yeah I got the elbows out and the hose in but the hose is bending too much and causing a blockage.
I think I just need the black clip to replace it and it will be all good, just the one on eBay is £9 which I think is a scam for a tiny black clip.

I agree it is a high price to be a part of such poor quality and so small. Supposedly it should be a quick connection that will seal perfectly.
I also had the same problems with the black elbow in an installation that I did but maybe I was lucky and finally everything was well sealed with the methods that I mentioned previously.
You may find it cheaper in the parts section of a VW dealer or the nearest official VW store instead of buying it on eBay. Maybe £5 ...

Re: 2009 washer hose clip - leak - Now leaking elsehwere
Right, I took the punt and just bought a new clip for the pump and then discovered that I had a leak due to a cracked 'Y' connector in the bonnet cover connecting the actual washer and purchased a new jointed to fix that - all good seemed to be working perfectly, no leak coming from the pump clip connector anymore and had water coming through the system... Until I went to fill up the bottle and be done with it all as it was fixed to discover that the fluid was leaving the bottle at a rate I was not expecting... so now I have another leak somewhere in the system. I can see the water dripping down from somewhere under the battery area, but it is also coming through the passenger side bumper grill.
Does anyone have any idea where the leak could be coming from? the water is getting up to the actual system for spraying so it isn't instantly gone but does go pretty quickly.
Although it is dropping under the car it is also running through this slit:

Use vw etka online to see the roughly where parts go.
You even have Elsa in useful parts topic. This can help you, rather than waiting for someone to reply. Maybe you dislodged something from the reservoir when you fiddled around eith the pump, maybe you didnt seat it all the way?
