Hi
We have a Polo Bluemotion 1.2TDi, ordered in 2010 and handed over to us early 2011. It's been a great car and still runs really well - we've had it maintained, serviced properly etc.
It's had the "DieselGate" ECU update when that happened a few years back.
Recently, when we took it in to get a new key paired up, the main dealer also told us it was due another ECU update for "Safety".
Although it's all fine and running with no problems - I just wondered what this update was actually for?
We have a suspicion it might have cured the flatspot which sometimes causes low revs when pulling away (even with your foot to the floor), but haven't driven it enough yet to confirm this.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Nick

Re: ECU update for "Safety"?
It's probably for the emission scandal, there have been many updates.
