Instrument panel - error in VCDS

Post by Polobeginer »

Hello members,
I have a request for you, has anyone encountered the error below (read via VCDS)?
The car does not indicate any problems, the control indicator does not illuminate, but the error is and cannot be cleared.
Does anyone know exactly what this means and how it can be removed / repaired?
Or someone who knows at MSK?
Thanks in advance

(sorry for my english - translator)

I see it all the time. If the panel works, leave it.

Yes, everything works yet.

How is it handled if it doesn't work?
Replacement or can be repaired?

Thank you.

Most likely replacement, yes. Car electronics are hardly repaired nowadays.

maybe someone tries to edit something in eeprom of your cluster and it went wrong.
Maybe flashing the eeprom with working dump and adjusting it to your car might fix it

In my experience error 10485825 occurs with JC clusters when a mileage change is done (but not properly).
Although some people claim it happened after a battery disconnect...

It can be solved by correcting the eeprom content.
You can contact me PM if you're interested.

Wouldn't it be emailed?

you need a eeprom programator and sop8/ soic8 clip. eeprom is behind the speed dial, meaning you have to disasemble your instrument cluster.

save your abs long coding, if you decide to take the cluster out.

I can get a programmer.
Removing the cluster is not a problem

The problem will be detected by the long ABS coding.
When I read via the VCDS function autoscan, the status of the ABS unit is OK in the Gateway report.
But the ABS unit pretends not to be installed, while the ABS is functional.
It is not possible to connect to the ABS control unit itself, it reports that it is not installed.
Can anyone advise why this is so and what the problem is?
