Lossed plastic moldings that are on each side of the glass.Reference?

Post by Egt »

Hello everyone, I have a Polo BlueGT and recently a workshop have changed my windshield glass and after a while the two black plastic moldings that are on each side of the glass as a trim have come off and lost.
I would like to know the catalog number that they are to be able to order some from the spare parts house.
Would someone know your reference to help me get them?
A thanks in any case to all those who give life to this forum. :wink:

If you’re referring to the trim pieces that fit between the vertical edge of the windscreen and the A pillar, I believe they’re officially known as windscreen water deflector strips and I think the part numbers are 6R0854327 (left hand side) and 6R0854328 (right hand side), although you’d need to check with your dealer that they’re the correct part numbers before ordering.

Interestingly, not all Polos had these fitted. Here’s my previous car (2016 6c Polo GTI) when it was brand new and it didn’t have them;

My mk6 Golf GTD had similar strips fitted, although my current car (2020 Polo GTI+) doesn’t have any.

Here’s a 6r Polo Blue GT with them fitted;

Thank you very much and indeed those are the plastic moldings of the BlueGT. I will take note of the reference and stop by the dealer to ask them. Again, I appreciate your information.
All the best.
