TESTs

Golf MK7.5 Replica LED Headlights. WTF TESTs. Halogen H7 or xenon-LED D2H Lamps (HB/LB)

1% = -10cm of inclination (10m). ECE only.
---

- The installation of these Replica LED Headlights is due exclusively to the DRLs and dynamic turn signals look (same/similar as OEM LED headlights).
You can see them  here or  here (Golf mk7).
In no case is it due to the installation of HID xenon or LEDs lamps in the internal projectors (HB/LB).
- As 'm in the testing process, I will also do the tests for a HID xenon KIT (6000K, 55W) included in the purchase of these Replica LED Headlights.

- The original VW halogen headlights with their reflectors provide a good lighting and, only in the case that this condition is not reduced I'll install these Replica LED Headlights with H7 Bulbs (OSRAM Laser Nightbreaker)... due to legal conditions (Europe, ECE, etc).

There are several things to improve in these Replica LED Headlights.πŸ™‚

To be continued...

Mk7.5 golfs are a lovely driving car and well built, I had a 1.5 TSI for a week and handed back to get a GTD, because I knew I'd spend more on retrofitting than the price difference lol. Goodluck in the tests!

Hi Willni, enjoy your GTD! 8) , my wife's Golf 1.0 TSI Ready2Go already had from the factory all the equipments we needed and much more (VW πŸ‘).
I agree with you, it's very very well built.πŸ‘Œ

The rest of recently added parts are because I currently have more fun installing them than by driving this excellent car (or any other).

I've already had very top range cars (Audi, etc), with them I paid an extraordinary annual amount of insurance. Then come the speed limits, and a long etc ...
e.g. 400HP to not exceed 120 Km/h... HARD to swallow... always with the tight ass 😁 to avoid receiving fines. (each one we have our level of this)

The tests I am currently doing aren't to have luck, they're to get knowledge about the f-things are manufacture in this world.
Anyway, thank you.🀝

---
Willni, your soul already know that I can have the best Golf mk7.5 of the world if it was my purpose... πŸ˜‚(just kidding)
At the moment it's the best mk7.5 Ready2Go of the world, included others G MK7.5 low range models.
Made with my 'hands' πŸ’—, and without be possible from factory.

 Passion

The best is yet to come... or not.πŸ€ͺ

Once I have read the above good report, it seems that the projectors installed in these Golf MK 7.5 Replica LED headlights are original Hella 3.
Roughness in the lens indicates it, still to checking many other things ...πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

Yes, they were not included in the headlights purchase.
Small improvements that make a difference.

Electrical tests in my Replica LED headlights with the HID xenon Kit included in the purchase have been completed:

Good results πŸ‘

- The consumption (Amperes) for all the lights is the same or lower than with the Original Halogen Lights. (HB + fl, LB, BLK, SD/P, DRLs)

- The operation of side lights/parking lights, daytime running lights, and dynamic turn signals are close to perfection (awesome).

- The HRCMs work perfectly.

Bad results πŸ‘Ž

- Once I turn on Low Beam with the light switch, takes 5 seconds or more to reach the optimal operating color/temperature (the color is white as sunlightβœ…).
This is not good, for example, with automatic lights system or the obligation to turn on the lights for tunels/shadows/dark/etc...

- A fault is detected in High Beam lights (logically), it's shown in the MFD and in the info system (5F). This fault can be solved with VCDS easily (adaptation).

---

As I must use the VCDS for HB adaptation, and the results are as I expected, I bought another HID xenon Kit just when received the LED headlights with the HID xenon Kit included.

This one:
 "Yeaky" ... i chose 5500k D2H
It's faster for turn on the LB (1s quick start... we'll see :) ... waiting to recieve it)

This new HID xenon kit doesn't have the black box -SUPER DECODER-, as you can see in the previous link, ...it's perfect, IMHO is an unnecessary monstrosity if you have VCDS, ... it'll be necessary to adapt HB and LB ... easily.
