It says they have a forged crank and pistons but the rods are not which is why it isn't advisable to run more than 300 lbs ft of torque.
There is a big thread on Seat Cupra.net because the old Leon Cupra R has the BAM engine too like the TT but tuning wise it's pretty limited without taking the engine apart.

You could run 400bhp but the engine wouldn't last long if the rods were not uprated, it would have to be torque limited otherwise.
It's what put me off getting an S3 (8L) because although the standard bolts on's and remapping yields good gains if you want to go further you have to spend thousands on the motor. Great cars regardless 8) if you can get 300bhp and 280 lbs ft there is not many things that are going to pass you.

Are you taking it to AMD to get it mapped mate?

Na not AMD there s**t maps for this engine and revo are just feel fast maps like really spikey. I'm having a custom map by a specialist audi runner up London, independent tuner called wak....

Yeah 300bhp and under 300ft lbs is well enough, ppl do change the rods and I think it's like £1000-£1500 which is alot but if your building a big power motor that's not that much....

Iv already got up rated pretty much everything over the normal 225's clutch and flywheel is different, bigger injectors etc....

Service day today and a boost leak check and general look over.....

Not updated this in a while so will give this a go....

Bit of a productive day today, picked up all my exhaust hangers and bolts etc so when I change it over its all fresh and new.

Also picked up a new coolent temp sensor as mine was playing up i think so just changed it and topped up the coolent until I do a complete coolent flush and I fitted my bling kit, will probably fit my forge charge pipe tomorrow but I may get me mate to help there just incase.

Well I did a few things Saturday after work, I had a few deep scratches in my front wing and the quarter section was off colour as the previous owner had areosoled it on the drive way so I put that write.

So I blended the colour and all was well....

Will be flatting the wing even though it doesn't need it but I want it better and may even flat the whole car to get it nice and flat.

Few pictures.

Well today was a good day, got my bilstein pss9 b14 from me mate all brand new for £620.

Awesome price so had to have them considering i want to change the suspension anyways being rusty and that.

Will get my top mounts and fit them, give it a month then do my adjustable tie bars.... Other than forge who do ppl use? Do eibach do them?

So a few things lol.

Il be waxoyling the underside and general arch painting and de-rusting the beams and arms.

Front mount intercooler, 3" downpipe and decat, bushes and forge adjustable control arms. And that should do next.

Parts that went on are
• Brembo GT brake kit 4 pot 335mm disc.
• H&R 10mm front spacers 15mm rear.
• full braided brake lines/goodridge.
• brembo rear pads and discs.
• millers race brake fluid 300+
• bilstein b14 coilover kit, amazing quality especially made for my qs, had to wait a month.
• all new nuts and bolts aswell, copper greased and checked after.

Well iv now settled the ride height and set it how I want it for now. Can go lower at the rear which I might do at a later date but I'm in the process of seeing if 10J rear alloys from a Porsche gt3 go under lol. Time will tell.

Also blacked my exhaust tips from the milltek cat back

There the original limited edition Quattro sport wheels so would like to keep them. But I am looking at 19" bentleys....

Also having the centres of my seats Retrimmed and again quilted like the polo. Double seam stitch like the bentleys aswell. Will be in grey/dark grey Alcantara aswell. And a few other items like knee roll pads, seat trim inserts and that's it until i think of something else.

There not custom mate, just have to be assembled for order as the qs was a limited run car so they don't have on the shelf parts. The strut housing is different or something and spring rates etc as its all ready lower than normal tt's.

There will be loads for your 9n mate.
